No, just connection. There is no way for me ever to understand God on even the most surficial of levels, so why go deep in something that doesn't even allow an understanding of presumably more shallow sides?

Fifteen years ago, when I was young, I sought a deep understanding of God. Regrettably, I did not attain it, basically because I'm too dumb. Now that I'm older and more tired, I seek a shallow superficial understanding of God.

Yes, and I will be constantly seeking this my whole life through. I want to become more like Him because He is my hero, my God, and my best of best friends.

YES , In all things... I want to be able to understand Him as much as any human can through His son Jesus Christ....... A true deep understanding of Our Lord and the redemption of our lives is something we all need so very much .He died for me how much more deep can that be ? I am a child of the ONE TRUE GOD, I accept that promise and will continue with all of my heart to br the person I am supposed to be through HIM ........

Constantly. I have found a fascinating thing to be true. Upon closer inspection, the things of God are more perfect, they reveal more, they go deeper, they are more wonderful. Upon closer inspection, the things of the world break down, fall apart, are flawed and cannot hold up to scrutiny.

Interesting.

Yea,I tried to this one time but as it unfolded(the wisdom I sook) i FOUND THERE WAS NO PLACE TO GO WHERE i COULD HIDE and realized I had to get back to the bottom where I could strengthen my old spirit to delve DEEPER into His Spirit the next time around.Lately, souls of the planet stay down here;there, instead of feasting openly in the presence of our Creator a portion of truth that seems bitter to taste at your tongue and sour near your belly at first full of generous things of love. You see, it starts HURTING your insides, your soul,to swallow love because in this world we have excepted numbness of heart as our guide so no pain can occur. He told me to swallow it and I did.
As I passed up the milk and honey of the Word I then began to chew on meat of words and felt everyone was not sitting at the same banqueting table as I was.The human race dissolved into their own problems and ideas then left the gate open at the garden entrance for me to enter as they were leaving, smiling with all their instabilities passed into their spirits by ages of sickness...'food poisoning'.
Ignorance is bliss. To not know how much a God knows is also a Heaven. He feeds us much medicine through our eyes into our souls and we blink to miss the blessings of life. The food we now seek is not the Word but the experiences when enlightened unto the Word.So we never get past the preachers filling us full of threats and painful fairytales to see the moment when we do not shut our windows to our soul;our eyes that see color, and become alive without the unneccessary words of false leadership. We hold the key to the Garden gate in our spiritual journeys without a humans intrusion on our minds.
Sometimes I contemplate Gods existance and it overwhelms me as I realize everything I experience in this Earthly body is planned for purposes unknown to the human mind and I lose control of decision and freewill, then my soul gets bound into knots as I try to run out of the Garden again.Freewill is safety.
Wisdom is a tricky substance to chase. It's like the wind....you cannot catch it.
God,Our Creator, be with you on your quest for understanding.Just be STRONG and diligent on your search. And by all means,TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART,SOUL,STRENGTH,AND MIND.

So be it.
