Allthough it's a rather annoying habit, especially when it comes to something so simple as kissing, it sounds as if your boyfriend has been raised with some strong old school morals and values. Instead of getting upset about it, talk to him. And I don't mean by telling him to grow some balls either. That's not going to do it. Just simply tell him, "Honey, I love it when you kiss me, but please stop asking me. I'm not your mom, I can't give you permission, and it's creeping me out. Do what you feel is right and if I'm not okay with it, I'll let you know". It works wonders. Guys like this have been sheltered and he's just unsure of himself. Coach him along a few times and before you know it, he'll be secure enough in himself to just grab you and kiss you.

Maybe he's just shy, or scared to make a move...make him feel comfortable...you start makein' the moves...and he'll see that you wouldn't mind him makeing moves on you...Also, you could just ask him "What are you so scared of?"...and tell him that you WANT him to do those things without asking...that he's your boyfrined...your all his...just nothing too freaky. Lol. But that's how i am with my boyfrined...i'm scared to make the first move...he always has to do it, but it's because i'm scared of rejection...and your boyfrined might be scared of that too..just let him know that you won't reject him...and that you would never do that. Good Luck!

Well, he's just trying to give you a choice. He probably doesn't want you to think he's bossy or rude. If it really bugs you, then talk to him about it. He must be really sweet if he asks you before doing something like that. I think he's being a good bf, but then again, maybe not. It depends on what YOU want.

i think in a way that's good, because he's showing you respect and wants to know how you feel about it, so he does care...
but if it's really getting on your nerves than YOU should get some courage and talk to him about it, just tell him that you like doing those things but that he doesn't need to ask permission for most of the stuff

yep.
good guy that.
and he, by the looks of that question, is looking in the wrong place.
now then:
while that's not the most common thing to find, would you prefer him doing something sexual to you without you asking? eh?
now then, what he doesn't know is where you draw that line.
I suggest that you help him through this, and tell him that he doesn't always have to ask. and make sure that you remember this when you get pissed off at him for doing **** to you without asking.
I do it to. my girlfriend prefers it somewhat that way though.

you're the one who is freaky and you don't appreciate a gentlemen asking permission to call you or come into your "personal space"..Do him a favor and drop him so he can get a girl who would like a kindly considerate man, and find yourself a Neanterthal.
