Well, the way I see it, which is a little fuzzy right now, is that due to making love the population increased tremendously creating more people to war with and against..
More sex + more people = more war.
More war = less people = less lovemaking = no piece
It's a vicous circle.
But I think John Lennon had the right idea when he wrote the song "Imagine".
And you're right, why can't we all just get along and "make love, not war". I'm all for that. This life that was given to us by "one" God, Allah, Buddha, Jehovah, the Creator, or whoever else one chooses to worship is not a dress rehearsal, it is a gift. As for me, I know the end of the world is not coming in my lifetime, so why not just live for the day. But when it comes to people trying to destroy or hurt my country and the people in it, that's a different story.

IN part is human nature.
On the other part the ppeople who rule the world (more than presidents) make war for they own benefits.

I think that more people would prefer that. However, that is hard to do when Islamic fanatics are trying to plan your destruction.
