I do have family there in two provinces, but I'm over 18. I wanted to try and find a job there, but despite what people say, I have little luck. I want to move to (Toronto) Ontario or Alberta, most likely.

Immigration Canada rates applicants on a points scale, grading items such as fluency in english and french, level of education, existing family relations in Canada, etc. Canada's government has recently stated that it is seeking to aggressively increase the level of immigration, so now is a good time to apply.

Immigration Canada is also seeking certain trades. Immigrating as a live-in nanny, for example, is very common.

Good luck! Canada is a wonderful place to live. Toronto, Canada's largest city, has a population of 3M where over half were born outside of Canada.

Perhaps your family could sponsor you. Otherwise, go to the nearest consulate or embassy and fill out the forms. There is a 13-point system in Canada. Education, work experience, and skills have a lot to do with it. About the only other route that I can think of is applying to a Canadian university.

Just like in the States, you're not likely to get a job that a Canadian could fill, unless you are highly skilled in a much needed profession.

You might have to wait quite awhile. There is a quota for each country.

Are you under 22, not married and don't have children of your own? If so, your parents can sponsor you if they live here, and it's different than if you were older.

Also, you can come under family class since you do have family here, if they are financially secure enough and willing to sponsor you. Here is the official canadian immigration website, it has all info and forms on it, so you can read through and find out what you need to know.

Truthfully I think all you have to do is cross the border and find a place to live/get a job.
