Try these exercises:
1. Give yourself a 1/2 hour - hour of time to be sad/ angry / lost over this loss. Use all your might to leave emotions behind you for the rest of the day.
2. Give yourself 1 - 2 hours of play time with yourself ... I mean, create new stuff for you to have fun with. Try something like walking, rollerblading, singing ... just something to divert your attention somewhere eles. Do it alone or with your BF... just do it daily.

Find a friend to talk to. Try not to think of him. i takes a lot of determination i know. It's easier said than done. I'm going through it too.... Sad news huh? But it's comforting to get to know that u're not alone. Think things from the bright side. Think of what u've gained but not u've lost. If u think u've lost sth, make sure u get it back in the future n not make the same mistake. Focus on ur future. Play hard! Work hard! Dream hard! Remember to FORGET! Think about it. At least it didn't last more than a few years,it could b harder to get over it. At least u don't hv so much 2 remember about him. At least it's not that deep... Tell urself about him that " U only last for a year and it's gonna take less than that 2 forget u! " Focus on present happenings and make the best out of it, u'll feel refreshed when u are rewarded after working very hard for sth. For me, i'm focusing on my studies to make sure that i have much much MUCH better grades than him. Make a promise to urself. Pray too. God is close to those who r broken hearted.

Take it day by day, Ive been there done that. I have a little note posted on my mirror in my bathroom it says " Hey hot stuff, So when are you going to get over that guy you were with, He sounds like a real jerk. Im out here waitng, so come find me. Sincerly, your future." And I read that everyday, I hope I helped! I wish you the best of luck.

I can relate. I personally think that there's some people that you never truely forget, but that at some point you can get over. At first it seems like you never will, eventually that time between "mini break downs" (aka moments when u can stop thinking about them and cry yourself to sleep) start to get a lil longer. Then you'll start to know when you're about to think about them and try to think of anything else to stop them from getting stuck in your head. And it honestly doesnt get better w/ time. With time you just learn how to deal w/ the pain and how to handle it.

well sweety, if you really still have feelings for him , it can take a while to get over him. so the best thing you can do is avoid seeing him and try to think of the bad times you guys shared and the mean things he's done to you so he seems like a bad person to you...trust me it makes it that much easier to get over him.
