Some of the best advice I was ever given was to get to know myself, I mean really become an expert on myself and thereby raise my self esteem. For instance, I like cats, country music, cartoons, reading, drawing, walking, swimming, American art, current events, the etymology of words, etc. Just being able to tell you that makes me feel great because I see that I have come to know myself. Good luck.
p.s. Thank you for serving your country.

Whenever you are in a situation where you feel like out of place, just say to yourself, "f#ck this" recite it again and again; just go on doing what you have to do in order to get through the day. You have been through the Military for God sake, you can accomplish anything. Just think of any situation as a mission and that your family, friends, and country are counting on you to accomplish it.

the media does nothing to help this situation. i say # 1, turn off the tv. if you watch tv youll say: "my teeth arent white enough", "my hair isnt shiny enough", "i am wrinkled" and "im overweight". the media portrayal of women wants us to live up to impossible standards. i think meeting real people, real women, who live near you will help you get out of your shell and love yourself more.

First you need to soak it in a nice, hot bath. Then lather up with the lotion. If it's not comfortable after that, there's something wrong with you.
