THOSE CATHOLIC PRIESTS ARE WHAT YOU CALL...RAPISTS....AND SHOULD BE PROSECUTED LIKE OTHER SICK PEOPLE THAT DO THAT...BUT YEARS AGO,,,THEY JUST TRANSFERRED THEM TO ANOTHER PARISH...AND THAT WAS BULL----! GO FIGURE...THAT'S WHY A LOT OF MEMBERS LIKE MYSELF ARE NO LONGER CATHOLIC!!! IT IS REALLY A SHAME...I WENT TO CATHOLIC SCHOOL ALSO...

No, I don't for a minute believe that.
The reason that some Catholic Priests have committed these heinous crimes against children is because of the ridiculous man-made church rules against priests and nuns marrying and taking vows of chastity which are totally unnatural and abnormal to human nature. Then these sexually repressed and deprived people are put into situations where they hold positions of authority over vulnerable people and they lose control.
I blame the unnatural vow of chastity, not some mythological ancient rituals. That would imply that all Catholic Priests molest and rape young children which is absolutely untrue. Most priests are good men who have a sincere desire to devote their lives to God and their parishioners and would NEVER hurt a child. It is church doctine which is the root cause of this epidemic.

It is only a very small amount of priest who have abused children. Many of the news articles are about priests from 10 to 20 years ago. Very few stories that make the news are ever current stories. And in general they have no more cases than would baptist or methodist and not near as many as grade school or pre school teachers. In regional news you get stories of boy scout leaders and even karate teachers, but they never make the national news.
What those few did is wrong and they need to get punished but it is a much larger problem of many groups that don't get enough attention either.

i have a theory on that.the bible says to not prohibit a man from marrying.the catholic church does that to its priest.these men have natural God given urges for sex.its not a dirty thing.but they suppress it for their position and it comes out on these little boys because they know a woman would tell.the catholic church needs to stop making them take a vow of celibacy.all the apostles had wives some scholars even think paul did because he belonged to the sanhedrans.i may have spelled it wrong.
