I would think honey keeps for a long time and doesn't have to be used immediately. May be wrong since this is fresh....could be preservatives in store bought. Dunno.
Peanut butter and honey sandwich.....mix some honey in the peanut butter and spread it on the bread.
Honey butter on hot yeast rolls
Honey Mustard dressing and dip for salads and chicken fingers.
I have no recipe but here's a close guess
2 cups mayo
1/2 cup mustard
1/2 cup honey
black pepper
paprika
It will keep for several days
Add more of any ing. to get the right taste for you and it's better if you set it in the fridge and let the flavors blend for a bit. I usually make homemade chicken fingers one night and cook extra and the next night make chicken finger salad and use the rest of the honey mustard as dressing.
There are some really bad honey mustards out there and I hated honey mustard until someone made this for me and I've been hooked on it for years. Everyone I have made it for loves it, even the ones that say they hate honey mustard.
Another Idea. Go to www.allrecipes.com and do an ingredient search. Type in honey and it will give you every recipe they have with honey as an ingredient. I just searched that site and it said there were 972 recipes with honey in it.

You can substitute honey for sugar in most baking recipes. Use half the amount of honey; if the recipe calls for a cup of sugar, use a half cup of honey. Lower the oven temperature by 25 degrees. Your baked goods will stay moister and stay fresh longer. Honey is a natural preservative.

You could put it on top of some homemade biscuits. You could make baklava, a Greek dessert with layers of phyllo dough, butter, honey and nuts. You could use it in vinaigrettes for salad. As part of a BBQ sauce for chicken, mix it in with some chocolate for a nice dipping sauce for fruit. I hope these ideas helped. Happy cooking!
