If you are thinking about it it's probably because you miss that certain something that the civilian world doesn't offer. Pride, comaraderie and knowing inside that you are part of something. Worried about being sent to the sand? Pick a different MOS and/or a different service branch. Those around you will never know what the feeling is like so you have to make the decision yourself. Good luck to you corporal... either way.

While I totally understand your apprihension I would recommend that you do alot of soul searching before making that decision. I say this because you did enlist in the marines (ooh rah) and I commend you for the service that you did but this is a heavy decision. I do not think that anyone on here can give you the answer that you are looking for. Some people will say yes and some will say no but until they walk in your shoes for any amount of time they cannot say what you should do. Good luck with your decision and if you chose to do this please be careful and be proud of your decision.

wow that's up to you. First of all, thank you for your service. Did you enjoy it while you were in? Are you okay with the fact that you more than likely will be sent to war? If so, sign up. No one is going to look down on you for it. It shows commitment and dedication!

Unless you want to be deployed immediately, don't do it. A couple guys I served with did that, and they were deployed less than 4 months later; both of them.

Stay out. You're going to get killed risking your life for peanuts. They'll find a way to send you to Iraq or Iran or Syria or Afghanistan. You already did your share.
