Should I let him go? Still love him after 5 years,but he says he needs to find himself first. PLS HELP ME !!!!

The love of my life moved away 4 years ago.I nevr stoppd lovin him.He came back beg of this year&we started talkin on the phone&bein friends.He was always tellin me how much he doesnt want a gf now&he needs time to find himself.(he is 23,am22)
First I was callin him all the time, but ovr the last couple of months it got mutual&we became really good friends talkin almost everyday.
Everythin was ok til I got really drunk&told him that i still Loved him last week.He wasnt really surprised&told me that he would even marry me rite now,but he needs to find himself first&said if i would wait for him til he comes back frm his 1year teachin english abroad, he would be a lucky guy.
after ignorin his calls,I texted him that i have nothin left 2say 2him and wish him good luck in life.he called me twice since then. I didnt pick up.
I dont want him to think that i will always be there waiting for him. I want him to miss me&ask me if i we can talk, but he stoppd callin.Should i call or let it go?

don't waste your time gf, you are beautiful and strong.

find someone else but strictly treat this particular friend as a friend. I experience something like you. I once waited for a guy for 2 years plus and the time and effort...it went down the drain. I was single for nearly 3 years coz i was waiting for him. Once a guy mentioned he needs time, it simply means that he is not attracted to you anymore. But he is saying all those s*i# coz he doesn't want to hurt you.

Move on with your life, date a lot of ppl, have fun, go out and enjoy with your female friends...don't expect too much and put so much hope on him. We never know what tomorrow brings. Believe me, don't wait for that guy coz you will regret it. You will think back and wonder why did i reject so and so for him? why did i waste my 365 days for someone i am uncertain of?

In the meantime, work on your self-esteem. You shd be more confident of yourself... Instead of thinking what you can do for him...ask yourself, WHAT CAN HE OFFER ME IF I WAITED FOR HIM??? You are too precious to be treated like a fool. Move on, let him go and believe in yourself. You are worth it and any man would be so lucky to have you dear. All the best! muaaacckkz. :)

I know you love this man, but he is telling you that he really is not ready for a relationship yet. You should respect his wishes and let him be for awhile if this is what he wants. It is understandable that he needs time to himself, and it doesnt mean that he doesnt love you. Maybe if you give it a rest for awhile, and Im sure you guys can work it out later. But he is a young man and needs time to experience life... leave him alone and let him.

Sounds like you are in a one way relationship. You love him way too much. True love......goes both ways. Sounds like he is putting you off......finding himself. Eventually you need to just laugh at that when he says he needs to find himself. Please start letting go.
You are wasting years on a guy. I have a feeling he sees things way different than you do.

ok a guy biggest fear is telling a girl the truth that he doesnt really have feeling for her or is not attracted to her. this guy saying that he wants to find himself and not be in a relationship at this point in his life can be interpreted as 'i dont have feeling for you anymore, but ill oblige to sex if you ask'. you have to let him go and move on. he wont change his mind. your only hurting yourself holdin on.
