For some reason this is debatable question I wonder about, does Child Safety locks help Children or Pedophiles because this maybe an issue that people should look into.

Helps you and your kids. It keeps them from opening the door. Your kids should not be far enough out of your site to get into someones back seat. If you don't like the child lock turn it off.

help pedophiles...the children can not get out when the child lock is on..and any sane kid usually wouldn't actually open the door while in motion and jump out...might think about it and talk about it...but never actually fulfill the action

i think that the child lock is a useless piece of equipment.
