My parents have both passed. I was brutally circumsized when I was a child. What choice did I have? I am not a full man because some doctor chopped the skin off of my penis as a baby. The doctor still works in my town., Hes in his mid 70's .

Can I sue him for this? SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE

No. He was just doing what your legal guardians at the time wanted. You cannot sue for that.

I believe that when a minor is treated by a doctor it's the result of a contract between the parents and the doctor. Therefore the child (you) were not a party in the contract and can not sue the other party (the doctor).

If there wasn't a contract than you could sue, but medical treatment is always the result of a contract unless you're unconscious and can not give consent.

I may be wrong since I'm unfamiliar with American law, but I know that it doesn't differ a lot from Roman Civil Law that I am familiar with.

Good luck. I have read about circumcisions that have left men handicapped. It's not right to do this to little boys.

First of all the statute of limitations ran out a long time ago. For med/mal cases this is generally 2 years. Secondly this procedure was done under authorization of your parents, who are your legal guardians until you reach majority. They had the legal right to authorize it. So no, you cannot sue. In researching this issue I discovered that many men are apparently upset by having been circumsized. I am circumsized and I've never once felt less of a man, or felt brutalized or had any other negative feeling about it. It was done when I was a new born, its part of what made me what I am now and honestly I wouldnt change it if I could.

That was your parent's choice as you were a minor.
Consider yourself lucky. I was held down against my will while 2 weeks over due. The interns gave me a shot to stop my labor while my doctor flew off with his mistress and left his wife. The next day my baby was born with a serious lack of oxygen to his brain due to complications at birth. Nothing exists to ever show that I was ever in the hospital on Nov. 29. The only paperwork that exists is for Dec. 1. My baby had a 42 hour delivery and is minorly retarded now because some doctor decided wacking his penis with his new floozy was more important that delivering my baby and he covered up his tracks very nicely. My husband was so distraught he killed himself. At least you have a intact brain! (By the way , my current boyfriend only has a stub also because of the same thing you went through and he has learned to satisfty me better than any man I have ever known. I have learned to do the same for him. I hope you learn to love who you are and find a wonderful woman!!)

No.
Since at the time you were unable to make decisions for yourself. That responsibilty fell on your parents. Until a child reaches a certain age, usually 18, the parents are responsible for the child, including making medical decisions.
The doctor had your parents permission to perform the procedure. You have no legal recourse against the doctor, or you parents for that matter (had you chosen that course as well).

My suggestion is to be happy with the way things turned out, most women prefer the "cut" ones anyway.

You were circumsized live with it. that little piece of foreskin is not what makes a man and if you are not a full man then it must be something else.I and most all of my friends were circumsized and none of our wives have any complaints. unless you are deformed from the procedure then come to terms with it. People who sue Dr's frivolusly are why medical costs are so high. don't add to the problem, besides no amount of money will put your willy skin back.

There are relatively no scientific motives. people who say there are are happening previous or cultural information. maximum toddlers all over the realm are not at all circumcised. This includes enormously much all toddlers in Europe, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and maximum different places different than the place it incredibly is finished for religous motives, and america of a. Even interior america of a in basic terms a million/2 of toddlers are circumcised at the instant. absolutely everyone seems to be gradually discovering it is not mandatory. Oh and various human beings do it for splendor or social motives, no longer scientific motives. Harriet

No. Let it go. When your parents died- the "statute of limitations" on the decisions THEY made- ran out. We ALL have some kind of "baggage" we carried forward from our past. The trick IS- NOT to pass it on to the future. That doctor did what the times required of him- and those choices passed with your parents.

I believe you should be able to sue this doctor for child abuse. My son is an adopted Filipino and i am getting a lot of flack of other Filipinos cause I refuse to have him circumcised. I know that later in life if he wants to marry a Filipina she will ask that he be circumcised, but that will be his choice alone. I have seen a Filipino child aged 12 scream ask he was circumsised with no anesthetic, if that aint child abuse i dont know what is.....Filipinos excuse = It says in the Bible, so what, I say

seriously

NO,

your parents as legal guardians gave him permission to do this action. Thus he had a legal permission to do a medically acceptable action.

Even against your parents, the statue of limitation of that abuse would have ran out. If they were still alive
