If you have a working VHS tape player then I guess you have Video/Audio connectors on your TV, you just need to look at the back of the DVD player, look for a yellow connector that says (Video Out) and two white and red connectors that say (Audio L Out - Audio R Out), now you need to hook these up to your VHS tape player, there should be exactly the same connections there but they'll be labeled as IN not OUT. If your VHS tape player is old it may have only one audio connection and the color of the connections may be different but that's ok. Just hook up the Video Out and the Audio Out from the DVD player to the Video In and the Audio In on the VHS player (if there's only one audio connection on the VHS player then connect any of the two connections to it and leave the other open). Now you have a working system. Just change the TV to the channel you usually change it to when you want to watch a VHS tape, turn on the VHS player and the DVD player, put a dvd in and enjoy it :)

Okay, old tv's used a 200 ohm antenna lead. It looked like 2 screws side by side in the back. You have to use a 200 to 75 ohm connector to connect you to the coax cable that hooks into the VCR OUT plug. Then just connect the DVD to the VCR IN. If you have a cable box, you'll need an A-B switch there to seperate the sources. Have fun, and good luck.

Go to Radio Shack. They can help you with a little box that will enable you to hook up your antenna and the DVD player with RCA cables to your old TV. I don't think there is any kind of adapter that will allow you to hook up all these gizmos at one time. Though you can by a combo VHS and DVD player for about $70 at Walmart. Regardless of hair color, if you try real hard, to can do anything that you set your mind to. Maybe it's time you treat yourself to a TV that's got more ports on the back.

First you need audio/video cords cords (or whatever theyre called.) They should be red, white and yellow. and probably look like this (link below). Some where on the back of your dvd player, and also on the tv, front or back there SHOULD be three or two holes, with corresponding colours. Just plug yellow with yellow, red with red and white with white. If theres no red, it doesnt matter.
Make sure you have the tv set to AV, and you dont need the aerial/antennae. either on the remote or the tv there should be a button saying "TV/AV" or "Video-TV" or "Input"
Just play around with hese, any tv in the world should have them.

look on the back of the tv. There should be two connection other than coaxial. coloured yellow white or black white called rca. If no connections present, you need a rca/coax converter from any electronics. once have converter plug one end in the tv run appropriate cables from dvd into vhs where it says in. out label goes to tv.

hook the wires for the dvd to the vcr. then hook another set of wires from the vcr to the tv. on the back of the vcr there should be an input and out put. put the wire going into the tv in the out put. and the wires going in to the dvd player in the in put.
if you have a colour co-ordinated vcr just follow the colours instead.red wire in red jack yellow in yellow jack and white in white jack if they dont have all three jacks, dont flip out it should still work.

Hook the dvd player up to the vcr, the red plug goes in red hole, white plug in white hole, yellow plug in the yellow hole. Take your vcr remote and put it on channel 2, then hit the channel down button til you are at L1 or L2 which are chanels for the input plugs that you just hooked the wires up to.

your tv might not have audio/video input plugs which are the yellow, white, and red plugs you see at the back of most modern tvs.
if your tv does not have these than there is a chance your vcr does.
make sure you hook up your vcr to the tv then see if you can plug your dvd player into the vcr audio/vidio inputs. then turn on your tv and vcr and find the input button on your vcr and see if you can see your dvd video............
