Why does God only focus on earth and allow us to exsist on this tiny planet? When he has the whole Universe to create other life forms?

Why does God demand that Christianity be so exclusive and be the ONLY representative of God; and why does Christianity as it has been developed by man believe that it is the final?
And that it is not possible for anything more representative of the ineffable God ever to come along?

It is factual that::
- Jesus Christ never said that he was the divine; but 300 years after his Crucificion, then men of the Church did.
- In the Language that the New Testament was originally written in, the scriptures do not say the Jesus was the only son of God, 400 years after the Crucifiction, the men of the church did.
- Jesus asked his followers to love their enemys; but the men of the Church directed a Crusade which killed the Christian Cathers simply because they had left the Church.

Answer my Questions please. Also I am not attacking Christianity.

For those who dont believe in the Facts,
Are you sure????

All the things i have put down are not my thoughts, but just questions on the Christian Religion

I do believe there are other life forms out there in other Galaxies somewhere.

Why get so uptight when I never said your religion was wrong.

I believe Jesus was a real man, and I do respect Christianity, I just question it alot.

Which is why I have such a hard time understanding it.
It has been changed many times throughout History, I mean come on people the Bible has been translated so many times, and back then to have a Bible made it was very very expensive and took months to complete.

So how do we know something wasnt changed then???
And I hate to tell you but Christians did kill people for leaving the church or not joining it.
Why do you think so many people Converted and we have so many christians now???

You can stop posting Bible verses, Im not gonna read it.

I cannot believe in something that has been translated so many times that its like a rumor; you know when it goes from person to person and so many things have been added, taken out and changed.

I am not converting to Christianity, I was Christian before. I have been Saved, Baptised and everything.

The Christian path did not feel right, the stories made no sense and were fictional, and I wanted a book i could actually read.

so sorry

I understand from your tone that you are not attacking Christianity. And my answer is likewise. I am not offended that you are not Christian.. So let's get busy

I have a Bible that has the original Greek along with the King James Version. The Greek text is from the ancient 1st century church and I will quote it exactly, even though the syntax is stilted.

John 14:6- Says to him Jesus: I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.

Original text directly translated from the Greek texts of the ancient church. As a Christian, that is all we need to know.

But you write: It is factual that: JC never said he was divine...
You information is incorrect. Jesus Christ did in fact refer to his divinity when saying he and the father are one as quoted above.

God did refer to Jesus as his only son and here I go with the original Greek again:
John 3:16 For thus loved God the world so as the son the only begotten he gave, that everyone believing in him may not perish but have life eternal."

And yes, people went off on the crusades killing etc. But we can't blame scripture, or Christ or misinterpreting the Bible - that is man and as you know we Christians believe that we are all sinners. human nature gets us every time which is why we believe we need Christ to be our "buffer" with God. standing there as we face our sins, and Christ says - Father, this one is mine. I hope he does or I am in big trouble :-)

Many Christians (myself included) believe that Scripture (the Bible) is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, it is our guide. So when Scripture - that we believe - tells us that God said this is my only son and I'm giving him so my people don't perish (obviously paraphrased) then we believe it.

Again, remember we are believing the Bible and so Christ says, I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me. We take that seriously. Note that he did not say, Hi, I'm the son of God, one of many fine ways to get to heaven.

I enjoy debating this stuff. My husband is a pastor and reads both hebrew and greek, and he gave me my Greek bible which is very helpful. Thanks for asking and I hope I have answered in the same spirit in which it was asked - friiendly debate.

let's see....i can't really answer you initiasl questions except by saying that as far as i can tell the church doesn't say much about other planets and that the whole exclusivity thing is probably caused by a major power trip the church went through hundreds of years ago, when being part of the clergy made you the richest and most powerful fish in your little fish pond.

as for your "factual" questions.
- i don't know if jesus ever claimed he was divine. i know the bible claims it left and right, but i don't know if he ever did. i know he said often he was god's son, but then again, he said just as often all people were god's children. the apostles claimed it shortly after he died but it wasn't until probably 300 years later that it became official doctrine. a bunch of bishops got together, voted on it and made it part of the doctrine. so for 300 years there was at least doubt on that point.

- i don't know what the original version of the NT says and neither can anyone alive today know for sure. nobody can even be sure that we have the original version, or what language it was written in. some say greek then aramaic, some say aramaic, then greek. either way, though ancient greek and aramaic are still in use today, by a very few people, not one of them can be said to be fluent in either, simply because there is a lot more to a language than this word means that. i haven't studied ancient greek or aramaic, but i did study latin for 4 years, and i can tell you as someone who also studied linguistics that there is a lot that is inherent to language that you cannot know about a language that is dead. all of which of course is untranslatable.
so whether by design or just plain honest mistake, i believe there can't be 3 words in the bible today that are actually also in the original. there have been too many translations.

as for the last one, the asnwe is pretty much just plain yes. it is factual. the church, despite all christ's teaching of tolerance, has always gone out of its way to eliminate dissenters. the policy up until recently, seemed to be, if you can't convert them, eliminate them.

Well I will try to help you with your deep Christian Question. Where to begin? I will assume that you already have some background in religion; otherwise you would not ask such a question. Firstly, becoming a Christian is a personal choice; no one will ever cut off your head or stone you to death if you don’t. (At least not today anyway). Secondly, you will have to become a Christian for yourself to be able to answer the questions that you raise. You will NEVER get the proper answer from another as being a Christian is a personal relationship with GOD. It is sort of like walking on the moon, sure you have seen the pictures and videos of others walking on the moon, but how do you know that it is for real if you have never set foot on the moon. What if I gave you a moon bible? Would it make it more real to you? Maybe or maybe not, but one thing is for sure, for Christians, JESUS is real, and thus it is their way beyond the moon.

You are right to separate church history and true Christianity. You should not confuse the actions of the church with what the Bible says, unfortunately.
As for your questions,
Why does God only focus on Earth? Well, read Genesis. Carefully. Then read Job and Daniel. You have to take the whole Bible into consideration or you can ask questions all day. It's hard to explain why things are the way they are without understanding -- and believing! -- the nature of God. Why is Christianity exclusive? Do you really want to know why or do you want to question the fairness of that exclusiveness? The why is that God wanted to create a group of people who would follow Him by choice. So in order to know who was a true follower there has to be a dividing line. I don't know that it's a fair statement to say that Christianity "as it has been developed by man" to be final. Man really doesn't have anything to do with Christianity -- again, separate the church. As for the future, read Revelation.
As for your facts ...
Christ certainly did say he was divine, and the men of the church followed him (see Acts). AGAIN, separate your Catholic church history.
As for the Crusades, send some young bored men with weapons off on an adventure to kill infidels and see what happens. I don't seriously consider the Crusades to be representative of Christianity. I also wouldn't consider the Cathers to be a Christian group, not that particularly justifies that action.
And my question for you, why misspell crucifixion (except to be punny)? That's one thing everyone in history agrees on.

God created this planet so that it would sustain life. We have all of eternity to explore the vastness of the universe.
Because God IS God, He gets to make the rules. If He was wishy-washy He wouldn't be a very good God.
Jesus said that He is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, & THE LIFE, and that NO ONE could get to the Father except through Him.
The Gospels were written within 70 years after the birth of Christ.
The Bible DID actually say, in the original language, that Jesus is the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.
Yes, the Church has at times been a great disappointment to God, however, Christianity and the Name of Jesus have thrived even with such failures. That has to be proof of the Power of God!
Thank You for asking questions. I hope I helped you come up with some answers that make sense to you. Just don't believe everything negative that you hear about Christianity. Many are too quick to do that, much to their peril.

God Bless You!!

OHH you are opening up a can of worms with this one, lol. As a Christian I should argue everything you just said, but I can't I agree with you lol.
Religion is man made. That pretty much covers all your questions. Jesus said you don't need a building, that he lives inside of you. (put simply, so nobody attacks me on this one, lol) Basically people have taken what should have been total faith, and made a belief system out of it. Christianity isn't the only correct form of religion, I believe all religions have good points and bad. As for being the only son of god, some religions believe he was a fraud, and the true Christ is yet to be seen. So basically Christian or not you have to have an open mind to find the truth.
Keep in mind the bible was written over 2000 yrs ago, in Aramaic, translated and rewritten millions of times. Thats where the Christian religions start to disagree on the meaning of the different verses. What means one thing to one sect, means something completely different to another.
So to answer your questions, we don't really know that he only focuses on Earth, you'd have to read an Aliens bible to find that one out, lol jk. With that you are getting into the are aliens real debate.
God didn't demand Christianity be it, man did.
All religions are man made is pretty much the problem.

Well I don't know about the first question as Far I am concerned God COULD have created life on other planets and have other means of salvation for those life forms on those other planets. As far as his exclusivity if you are the creator of something that pretty much excludes anyone else coming along and trying to demand that they be included as a god/creator doesn't it?

As far as you "facts" I don't know that you can PROVE that Jesus never said he was divine the only thing we have is the written record in which it is recorded that he DID say it. You CLAIM this record was CHANGED but you really cannot prove that. As far as Love and Killing well ... Jesus never said do not kill your enemies you can love many things that also need to be removed.

And even if the cathar crusades were not directed in love (and I think I would agree with you that they were not) that still doesn't say anything about the qualities of God it just shows that MAN is still imperfect and can't even get a simple thing like LOVE right. Is such a shame.

Jesus said "I have other sheep, which are not of this fold, and I must bring them also, and they shall hear my voice..." It's only men in our personal arrogance believe that we are the only ones. It doesn't say ANYWHERE in the Scriptures that we are the only ones.

In the book of Luke ch. 22 v. 70 whe the Sanhedrin asked Jesus "Are you the Son of God, then?" Jesus replied, "Yes, I Am." He didn't just say "I Am," He called Himself the Aramaic translation to the same name "I Am That I Am" that God introduced Himself to Moses as on Mt. Moriah when He scripted the Ten Commandments.

There is no one language that the New Testament books were written in. Matthew was Hebrew, but he was a Roman citizen. He wrote his words in Latin. Luke, John and James wrote their words in Aramaic, which at the time was the common language spoken in Isreal and Sumaria. Mark was Greek, he wrote his words in the Greek language. Paul and Peter wrote their letters in Latin.

And Jesus didn't ASK His followers to love their enemies, He TOLD them to. And believe me, there is going to be allot of 'splainin' to do on the parts of men who have ever done evil in the Name of Jesus.

Does that help a little?

Ammendment:

Up until the 12th century, most of the Bibles that were in writing were in Greek or Latin. Then Martin Luther translated his German version, then James of England commissioned scolars and Church leaders to translate the Greek and Latin translations into commoner's English, which is the King James version.

The translations remained as they were since then, when in the late 19th and through the 20th century, older manuscripts have been discovered. Some in Aramaic. The translations were updated. They weren't changed, they were clarified. In the late 19th century, work began on a translation for Americans. Mainly because Americans don't speak the same as our English friends.

If you read the King James, and the New American Standard Bible side by side, the words might be a little different, but the message is exactly the same. The NASB was written in a vernacular that we Americans are more accustomed to.

In the Book of John, Jesus said, "I am the Bread of Life." Now, if you look at a Chinese translation of the Bible , it doesn't say that.
Why? Because Chinese people don't eat bread as a staple, they eat rice. So the Chinese translation says I am the Rice of life.

There is a lot of dogma, folklore and superstition in Christianity. But there is some good stuff too. No doubt that man (the Church) has tainted it. Christian is a generic term, kind of like Pagan is. When I say that I am a Christian, people automatically stereotype me and expect me to start preaching. It is the self-righteous, hardcore Christians (Fundamentalist) that give the rest of us a bad name. They are the ones doing all the talking. Not to mention that they think with their bibles instead of their heads. I clash with them the in the same manner as you do using similar point to what you used. But they are well rehearsed fanatic and they refuse to think, much less listen. Mainstream Christians are interested in other people and other ways. Jesus was a teacher, not a savior. So don’t let the “fuggies” get you down, just keep on keeping on and you’ll be just fine!

How do you know that God only focuses on this planet? No one knows that for sure. That information has never been divinely revealed to us, so we don't know.
Christianity is the only representation of God because God doesn't want is people confused about how he wants us to live out our lives. He is very explicit on how we are to live like all good parents should be. God is eternal, his views and opinions do not change with the times, the same morals that he wanted us to follow for thousands of years are the same today, and will stay the same forever.
Christ did reveal that he was the Son of Man, and he showed Peter and two other disciples proof of his divinity.
The Bible was originally penned in Aramaic. There are sects of the Catholic Church that still give mass in that language today 2 thousand years later. They are in the Middle East.
The Church is not perfect because it is made up of non perfect people. Only God is perfect. All of the terrible things that happened through the ages from the Church happened because it's leaders failed the people, not because God did. (Let me not remind you that Romans threw the Christians to the lions in the Coliseum. Every faith has the bad apples in it)
