I'm not sure about the exact location of the scripture. But one of my favorites is " Faith is the substance of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen". The way that this scripture reads says to me that faith is a real thing. It's not hope or wishing. Webster's dictionary says that substance is matter( a particular type of matter). So faith is the actual thing that you are looking for. That particular blessing that you stand in need of is held within your level of faith to receive it. If you have enough faith- you've already got it. It's right there like the ram in the bush. Faith is evidence. Example. If you need healing for your body. See yourself healed. Keep a mental picture of yourself already healed. Act like your already healed. Do things as if your already healed. Treat your body as the temple it is-as if you are as pure as the healthiest person that ever walked the earth. Feed yourself healty food and drink, exercise, don't smoke. Honor you healty body because you don't want to defile what God has blessed you with. The healing will manifest. God already gave your body the potential to be healthy. But when we see it and act it and cointinue to say it ----Thats when we truly see His power. The that brings me to another scripture that's probably better than the first one-" Life and death are in the power of the tongue. It's soooo true . If we can only change the way we talk( speak the word, constantly), we will change ourselves, oor surroundings and the world. God bless.

Ephesians 4
22 … And then take on an entirely new way of life — a God-fashioned life, 23 a life renewed from the inside
24 and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you.

Proverbs 21:9: It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
Proverbs 21:19: It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

My favorite is John 19:30: When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished": and he bowed his head, and gave up the Holy Spirit.
I love it because it summarizes everything that Jesus came to do. The word "finished" here means "accomplished". When he died on the cross he fulfilled his mission here on Earth.
He came to preach the Gospel to the poor: set the captives free, heal the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:18, 19.)

P.S. Karen B. The verse you brought up is Hebrews 11:1. And I REALLY like what you say about it! Yes, and in the Bible we are told that our tongues are like the rudders of a ship. They are very small compared to the rest of the body, but they have a whole lot of power in our lives!

Isaiah is my favorite book, so anything from it, but I will narrow it down to these two:
He was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities;
the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5 (Body piercing saved my life!)
The grass withers, and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever." - Isaiah 40:8
