It took me 4 years to find a layout that I was satisfied with for my kitchen. It turned out great. My bathroom on the other hand was an overnight design I chose and before I was even finished I was seeing where I could have improved. Take your time and dont rely on someone elses opinion. You know what you like. Dramatic changes include taking down or opening up walls, bright colors and designs that flow to adjacent areas and incorporate existing colors, materials and textures from those areas. Most of all, take lots of pictures because when you are done you wont believe how bad it looked before.

first thing to do is to decide what theme you want to remodel to. i decided on a Victorian theme when i remodeled. i also got old articles, photos to see what i needed to get. after that you can start pricing the stuff you're going to put in, like tile, fixtures, lighting, color, etc. i got a claw foot tub, a hi-cistern toilet, antique curtain rods, glass door knobs, the whole enchilada. looks good

don't go to home depot. i went through them for my kitchen and had nothing but hassle. i would have done it quicker myself. i found there is a good site to find bathroom fixtures fixtureuniverse.com . it gave me some good ideas what to do with the bathroom sink.
