Mine are Samhain and Beltane.... yeah, I know, "typical", but I LOVE what they celebrate... what are yours?

For Ricky, Wicca is a nature-based polytheistic craft religion, and a Wiccan is someone who follows it. At times, some Wiccans DO spells, but no we aren't THE spell itself. :)

Actually, I love all of the Sabbats, but I Samhain is my favorite. One of the main reasons I love Samhain is because it's my birthday, but I also love it because it's a time to honor my ancestors and deceased loved ones. Samhain is always a very, very special time in my household and I look forward to it every year. :-)

P.S. I'm glad to see that more and more Witches/Pagans/Wiccans are posting in the religious section of Yahoo Answers. We deserve it!

Well it's not a Sabbat but my favorite holiday is Lokiblot, which falls on April First. It is the day to honor the God Loki, and it is my favorite because He is my beloved patron and I love honoring Him.

My second favorite holiday is Winternights (well, that's what we call it in Asatru--Wiccans would know it as Samhain) because I love the energy of that holiday. It's the time of the year when I feel most like myself. Coming in a close third is Yule (the way we Norse types celebrate it...12 days of feasting, partying, and toasting Odin! Woohoo!)

If we're limiting the answers to parts of the Wiccan year, I would have to say Samhain and Beltane precisely because of the energy and the time of year that they celebrate. However, if we're to expand this into those holidays of my particular faith tradition (asatru), then I would have to say disting "the charming of the ploughs" (a holiday to celebrate and ask for the blessing of the fruit of the land) along with any days set aside to remember the life of Radbod, king of the Frisians, and the death of Olaf the Lawbreaker.

I love Samhain/Halloween! I love everything about this time of year. The decorations, the colors and all the festivies. When time of year rounds around I feel it all over. Excitement fills the air.

I love the fall air when its crisp, and the leaves are changing to yellow, orange, browns & purples, beautiful! And I love the howling wind in the trees.

I love to decorate my house in all of my favorite Halloween favors of orange pumpkins, black cats, flying witches & ghost. Oh, it's just so much fun.

Not to mention the parties. Pagans & metaphysical folks have the best parties. They dress-up, frolic & play & cook up cauldrons of awesome food that just could make you drool........

I look forward to Samhain every year. It is definetly my personal favorite.

i admire Samhain as nicely... i will rejoice it on my birthday if i am going with - classic Samhain dates fall between Oct 30 and Nov 6... my b-day is Nov 5. i'm incredibly egotistical, being a Scorpio, and the belief-approximately Samhain being a holiday on MY day is very appealing. additionally, it relatively is soup/stew season - I constantly start up cooking soups and stews for dinner whilst the air smells like rotting leaves, and that i do no longer provide up until eventually each component's frozen. i admire the scent of the rotting leaves. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, i think of my fashionable Sabbat must be the imminent one - Lughnasadh. i'm relatively prepared on plant existence, and the fact that it relatively is a occasion of the 1st harvest is relatively appealing to me. it relatively is a time of cooking, baking, harvesting herbs, berry choosing, and so on and so on and so on!!! i like it!!!

Well, I was going to say Beltane & Samhain, but you beat me to it *grin*

Beltane because it celebrates birth.

Samhain because it honors our ancestors.

Of the four holidays that we celebrate, I would have to pick Bealtaine. Springtime is rejuvenating after a long winter and I am always excited to see what is growing in the garden.
