in some kind of riddles to be interpreted by scholors of the bible?Does'nt he want as many people to believe in him as possible?Does he just want the elite few that can understand the bibles meaning? Why does he make himself so mysterious to the people whom would believe in him if they could see or feel something in which they have never experienced before? I myself have been a little borderlined on believing or not believing, yet I do see things in the big picture, that there is more than what surrounds me. I'm not saying there is an explaination for everything, yet some things are a no brainer!!. I do like math and science and I believe that has alot to do with my sceptism. It's hard for me to believe anything I can't touch, see,or smell?[Even then I have questions]So why did'nt God simplify his existence?I can't believe in blind faith.

This, friend, is what makes the foundation of Atheists. It's good to question this, because you're freeing yourself from the box that 'faith' has on you. ^_^

God can and will make Himself known to ALL people. The Bible is not some big mystery, but God reveals Himself through His word as well as in other ways. When reading scripture, its generally best to pray before you read and ask God to reveal the meaning to you. I believe God reveals what He wants you to get from a scripture if you ask Him to!

I have often been accused of having "blind faith" in God, because He can't be physically seen. But I have seen and felt the power of God in my life on numerous occasions!

Several years ago, a friend of mine was having car trouble. He was a skeptic and did not know whether God was real or not, so he sat back and said "If there's a God, let my car start the next time I turn the key" (this was said after about 40 attempts to start the car). The car fired right up as soon as the key was turned and put my friend's skepticism away! Unfortunately, my friend was reluctant to accept Christ as his Savior, but he does believe God is real now!

I agree that is is GOOD to question dogma...

I also think there is SOMETHING, or SOMEONE, a creator, higher power, whatever one wants to call it...

and that creator, sometimes very very quietly, makes their presence known....

if you're not paying attention, you'll miss it...

sometimes it's a breeze when you're hot

sometimes its a chorus of birds breaking into song, just after you've questioned, or wondered, or even just felt gratitude for a beautiful person or place or thing...

it's only when we get all hung up on dogma, who's god is better, best, the one true, etc etc... that's when the problems start...

the cosmic, the mystical, the inexplicable, there's SOMETHING going on....

and I do hope that there's more waiting for us that what is here.... I love the concept of reincarnation.... evolving over many lives

but even if this is all there is.... hey, some of it is not so bad...

it gets bad when humans try to simplify the complex with the version of "god" that has been dictated by others....

Sorry to see that you feel that way about the Bible. A lot of people think that, but the main message of the Bible is not very difficult to understand. Now, it may seem so if you're not reading it in your native language (the King James for example, which is Old English). I'd recommend finding a New Living Translation, asking God if he exists then to show you, and opening up to the book of John.
Signs that he exists are all around you. It'd be hard to make it plainer. Are you willing to believe? Are you willing to seek?

First, you must remember that the bible was not written by God directly, but by men, who had their own interpretation of events and their own agendas as well, so much of the bible is coloured with these human biases.

I do feel that the bible, as well as all other holy texts were inspired by God, or whatever name you want to give to the source creator, but that the bible is not the only only word of God. I would encourage you to study other holy texts as well as some "new age" beliefs which I have found simplified things for me and really brought me to a whole new level of awareness and understanding about God, which does not include the dogmas and doctrines of the various religions around God.

Try reading the book Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. I loved the entire series of books that he wrote, which were again, inspired by God, but written by a man. I found much of the concepts spoke to me and rang true within my heart. It offers a refreshing and understandable perspective on God and what God wants.

The bible tells us that we 'see through a glass darkly' but one day we shall see Him face to face....that is if we choose by faith to accept Him. It's really not so hard. Once you accept Christ, once you really repent, you will discover that He is more real that you could ever believe. The Holy Spirit will make the Bible come alive to you like never before. All you have to do is ask Him. You say you can't believe in blind faith...yet you believe lots of things already in blind faith. You believe that Washington was the first president of the USA, that he crossed the Delaware river... but you were not there to see it happen. Because it is history, you choose to believe it. What you read in the bible is also History... but the most unique history of all. It is a book that proves science over and over. God is the creator of science and math and you! He understand your needs and desires and if you ask Him, He will help you understand the Bible and He will also be your very best friend! Try Him! Its not hard! Just pray.... Jesus, by faith, I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Forgive me of all my sin and come into my heart and by your Holy Spirit, make Jesus real to me as I read your word and pray to you. Help me to live my life for you and understand what you want me to know. Touch my life with your presence! Amen

Riddles? The elite few? Are you kidding?

Who did God send the angels to to announce the birth of Jesus, the religious elite? No! To shepherds, standing out in a field. The bible can be read, and understood, by anyone who truly seeks its meaning.

There are probably more copies of the bible on this planet than any other book in all of time. That's not widespread enough for you?

With all due respect, I think the answer lies more in your attitude than in God keeping anything "from" you.

God does make His presence known. You can actually feel that little twinge of elation or pleasure sometimes.
The bible is not a very clear way to find your path to God and your spirit. Spend some time with yourself and think it over. It's a long ride seeking the truth but it sure beats that "hogwash" so-called bible scholars try to make you believe.
It's an embarrassment to God for those scholars try to make you believe that only they can know God.

That grow to be my theory precisely once I study that quote from that xian. a million. by way of fact we've examined this concept repeatedly 2. it incredibly is much less complicated for them to cajole somebody who needs to have self assurance, and isn't any longer annoying evidence. 3. they're going to come back with some thing it incredibly is a fallacy and not fact in any respect, which incorporate "distinctive those e book written approximately mermaids and all the money owed from sailors who've seen them is evidence, and mermaids are no longer a competent occasion by way of fact ninety% of people do no longer worship mermaids." In different words, valid argument to an volume, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it may no longer get any god fearing Christian to question his/her faith in keeping with assessment to mermaids.

You cannot get much simpler than...God is.
The universe is no accident, no matter how you think it came to be. The Ten Commandments simplify things if you don't want to study the bible. Study those and you'll have a good understanding of what God expects from humankind.

He has already spoken his words within the bible. Which were written by the people that have accounted for his presense. He isn't going to come knocking on your front door. But he is always at the door to you heart. It is when you let him in that you will feel his presents. We are all here for a purpose. Mine is to help all people that cross my path in life. To help guide them when a question is asked, whether it's business related or personal. God bless my friend.
Ps. I haven't been to church in several years. I don't feel that you need to go th church to prove your faith. As long as you have it.
