this is for only if u know the answer and a hunter or a gun shop owner cause this one gun shop owner that i go to says its 18 but the police says its 21 who is right

18 for rifle ammo, 21 for pistol ammo.

well it depends on the store/shop. 18 for rifle ammo, 21 for pistol ammo. altho 9mm,45,etc.. can be used in rifles and be bought if your 18. but it depnds on there policy on sale of ammo.

18/rifle and 21/pistol......some stores wont let you buy either till 21, but its just their policy...also if you buy 22 lr ammo they might ask if its for a rifle or a pistol.
