GOD is forgiving, yes, but vengeful?

Is that not a very harsh word to use for GOD?

We have very limited insight into what GOD is and yet we bring GOD down to our limited level of thinking and measure GOD with words like vengeful.

GOD is not all forgiving either. Even we are forgiving but to a certain degree only.

Would this question not instigate hatred towards GOD?

Hinduism shows how GOD comes to this earth to teach us about our rights. That is not being vengeful.

If a person commits murder, why does he or she get a life sentence or the death penalty? Are we vengeful?

Is that why we humans have a legal or court system? Because we are vengeful?

Or is it to teach the world some kind of rules and regulations ahve to exist to keep some kind of civility in our daily lives.

What would you do? If someone murdered your family member, would you be all forgiving and take the murderer home to dinner with you and live with the person or would you seek justice in the court system?

Would you consider yourself vengeful or would you consider yourself as a seeker of truth and justice?

I dont think one should use such a strong word like vengeful when talking of GOD. That is my opinion and you do not have to agree with it.

Depends. If you are in the right sect of a Religion he is forgiving no matter what you do. If you're not then he is, apparently, vengeful.

god is both, God is a just God and just like justice it has to be both forgiving and vengeful. God has anger but he also has love. I personally prefer his love to his anger.

It matter on what area of the bible you're examining. contained in the former testomony, God is vengeful, punishing the Pharaoh, taking off the entire flood, burning down Sodom and Gomorrah, turning women human beings into pillars of salt etc. in spite of the undeniable fact that contained in the hot testomony, God has a change of heart and is style, so style he sends his in hardship-free words son to Earth to die for our sins. some styles of early Christianity, jointly with Gnostic Christianity, propose there is not any longer a unmarried God, yet 2 Gods: The God that created the universe, who's style and loving, and the Demiurge,an evil being that created the Earth to spite the actual God, and all imperfections human beings have is because the demiurge isn't ideal. What I stated isn't authentic, as my memory is rusty, yet i imagine that is the perception.

Forgiving! He's only vengeful if you knowingly do the wrong thing and are not one bit sorry about it.

Both, He's forgiving if you ask for forgiveness, but vengeful if you reject the offered salvation.

As sinners, we all deserve death, but if we believe in Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection, we will be saved. So really, it's our choice which He will be to us.

God is forgiving,
otherwise, why would he put up with so much disrespect for his authority,

He keeps giving us chances, and he is forgiving, so much he taught us about forgiving,
he gave us "his son". AND ALLOWED HIS SON TO SUFFER, SO WE COULD LEARN ABOUT FORGIVING,

if that does not convince us, nothing would,
If we choose to not be forgiven, and don't give a darn,
well, i do not know what he does with those,,,souls.. but it is really none of my business, i choose to concern myself with other souls who want to be good, do good, know God, and all the wonders of the master of everything,,,and forever be his child land student.
