My friend who used to breed them always avoided eating pig' products, and told me they're cannibals, Is this true?

Pigs are omnivores. We had pigs on our ranch and they ate ANYTHING and everything including left-over meat.

Yes. Pigs will eat anything, including other little pigs. Mothers will even eat there own children if they're in the way while the mother is feeding. Scary but true.

If it's true, that just tells me that these pigs are so delicious they can't stop themselves from eating each other. Besides, would your rather eat a fish that's been eating algae and worms and leeches, or a pig fed entirely on other pigs? That's just pure pig. Perhaps double the pork in every bite. I recommend you go out and eat a pig right now.

maybe, you should ask your friend why he said that because if we look into it literally, a cannibal is any specie eating their own kind and mostly, it is practiced by human. In our place(somewhere here in the philippines) we used to feed pigs on the excess foods that we eat.so, if we trace the process, for example i ate a pork then i have that excess thingi, that pork will be fed to the pig...somehow, he had eaten his own kind...hehehe=)

Pig breeders feed them anything and everything, often just stuff leftover from restraunts. Pigs are omnivores just like us. Cows get fed cows and chickens get fed chickens. It's a disgusting world out there. I try and eat kosher and free range, etc, when I can.

We had pigs and yes they would eat anything - even their own kind...they are more mean and bitey than a pit bull.
