This worked really well for me and everyone I reccommended it to. Try it, it is worth every penny! Everyone in my family is the same way it is really bad!! One of my brothers had to use a CPAP machine for a while because of his sleep apnea, but we finally found the answer to stop snoring and it is awesome!! It is a custom fitted mouthpiece that we purchased on http://www.prosnore.com it really works good and my brother doesn't even have to use his CPAP anymore!! IT IS AWESOME! GIVE IT A TRY!! PROSNORE.COM is the place!

I've heard obesity can be a factor with snoring.
I have heard Breathe Right nasal strips can help stop snoring.

I saw on a show that a fireman was bothering his buddies by snoring at the firehouse. His girlfriend sewed a cork onto the back of his pajamas so that he wouldn't sleep on his back and the snoring stopped.

Snoring can be a symptom of a very serious disease called sleep apnea. And being overweight is often - not always - part of the syndrome. You need to get your doctor to refer you to a sleep clinic ASAP, as sleep apnea can damage your heart and cause a lot of other health problems, as well as making both you and your bed partner tired and crabby. This is not a joke - get to a sleep clinic pronto!

Do you have your tonsils? If so that could be one thing for starters to get removed. Maybe try getting an appointment with a ENT(ears, nose, throat) doctor and he/she can discuss recommendations. The also sell throat liquids which you gargle before going to bed which are supposed to reduce or stop you from snoring.

Try not to sleep on your back as your uvula (hanging from the ceiling on the back of yr throat) can vibrate or fall backward and breathing vibrating it and thus, causing the snore! Yes, being overweight can lead to snoring!!
