Are you related to Mimi Y w./ the question below? If so, perhaps the 2 of you can assist each other w/ your cooking dilemmas!

I note that both names have been participating since the same date - curious, indeed.

Your sentences are very unclear and the wording you selected is off. Your parents don't give you cook so you can't cooking?, I'm guessing that you mean they don't let you cook. Try talking to them about how you have a serious interest in cooking and would like to try baking something or cooking a meal for the family. Your friend rice flavor is spice, again that's very unclear. I'm not sure if you mean it's too spicy or if your refering to a type of spice that you used because there are many different kinds of spices. If it's too spicy try using a more mild seasoning. You can purchase a cook book to guide you with cooking a variety of items and the proper measurements and items to use in them so that they come out well. If you are still in school which it sounds liek you are, take a class that involves cooking such as home ec. or some other classes that they may offer in that area.

First off mrtophat24 (and other guilty soles --ha ha souls!) Maybe you need to learn to spell if you are going to slam someone for not having perfect English. You do not need to know how to speak English to cook-- there are many wonderful chefs who cannot speak English. Here is a corrected version of your answer:

mrtophat24: "you (You) probly (probably) need to learn how to speek (speak) right. but (But) you should just stick to the microwave or get one of your perants (parents) to cook with you."

And, as for the rest of you who decided it was more important to slam this person because, for whatever reason, s/he struggles with the English language-- have you never had to learn something new (like a language) or are you all born perfect?

To answer the question: I would speak to your parents and ask them to let you help prepare some of the simpler meals so that you can learn them. Cook a little extra to warm up later when you are hungry and they are gone. As you work in the kitchen with your parents then you will learn how to function in a kitchen and cook different recipes. It is very important for you to learn to do this. Then when you leave home you will have the skills to prepare healthier foods at at your own home instead of needing to eat junk food or fast food. Learning to cook a variety of foods will increase your health in the long-run.

If you have a Home-Economics class in school, then there is usually a cooking section where you can learn the basics of cooking, too.

And, remember that the last step in cooking a meal is CLEAN-UP! When kids forget that step, then parents are not happy about having to walk into a disasterous kitchen they must either clean themselves or nag at you to do. Often this is why we don't want you in our kitchens!

Most probably you are a food person but the way you have written your question you sound really young. Why don't you help your mum in the kitchen first.Give her the confidence that you can handle things quite well without any mishap.Once they know you will be alright cooking all by yourself eventually they will let you to cook.Just to inform as much as you love cooking kitchen is the most dangerous part of the house.

You need to get yourself a cookbook. I learned a lot of cooking on my own.

Here are some fried rice recipes.

How old are you? If you are quite young you shouldn't cook when your parents are not home. Wait till your are older. If you are a teen, you should insist to cook WITH your mom I am sure she would like that (just don't be messy).

If you are in High school take a cooking course. If you are older ask a friend who knows how to cook to teach you.

Probably because they don't want you burning the house down while they are gone. Also....do you bother to clean up and wash the dishes and pans you used? That is the reason I dont want my kids cooking. They don't clean up their mess! If I make them...they don't get the dishes clean for spite. I have enough dishes to wash without adding more to it. No dishwasher and impossible to put one in here without spending thousands instead of hundreds.

Try learning at a friend's house. Maybe their parents would like to teach you, or at least let you learn. Try talking to your parents about your desire to cook. It maybe they don't know how important it is to you.
