Why is it that all the questions about religion are always from the point of view that if you believe, then you are an idiot?
Remember, being an atheist is a choice. You choose to deny the possibility of a higher power. Given this thought, I would think that the more open minded person would be the one that accepts the possibility of a God.
We all see the questions that are really insults. Yet those that pose the insults take the position that they are morally superior. I think that the morally superior person is the one that will discuss, politely, the subject, without condemnation or insults.
People are free to believe as they choose. Why call others "haters" and other such nonsense when those that you despise do not say such things about you? Thereby proving the premise of your question to be wholly inaccurate.

What don't you ignore people who offend you instead of making ridiculous generalizations of your own?

People like to think they know all the answers, especially some of the really young people that come on here. People blame Christians and point fingers for them being intolerant and yes some are but there are ALOT of people from other religions that are exactly the same towards Christians and other religions. Agree to disagree, offer a thought here or there and accept it that people will always find a way to make you seem like they are better than you, just ignore them.

Hmmm... I think it is Friday night... the parents have gone out and left the children to play on the internet... many of the questions are not very well worded so you can tell that the person is either not educated or is just being insulting to two groups at the same time...

also.. you will notice that a lot of the JUNK stuff comes from lvl 1 people... perhaps new accounts because their old one got banned?...

I like the new voting system... you can vote it a bad question without having to answer or come back later... I wonder what they will do with the people who ask a lot of bad questions... oh well... back to looking for that 1% of questions worth answering.

It kinda goes both ways though. I won't deny that some of the atheists here can be quite hateful and insulting (can we say hypocrisy?) but some of the Christians can be the same way. I personally take offense when non-Christians who aren't atheists are referred to as "non-believers" because it implies that we don't believe in anything, and we do. I really wish more of the Christians here would use "non-Christian" instead.

Frankly I think EVERYONE on BOTH sides can learn to be more tolerant and less insultive and patronizing.

Remember, when they run out of good arguments, they start calling names. :o)

I particularly liked the person who was being intolerant against Christianity by asking a question about how Christianity is so intolerant. They didn't like someone to force their opinion on them, but they were trying to force theirs on others. They can't even see how they are contradicting their own arguments.

If people would just stick to logic instead of childish name-calling, we would get much further in discussions.

Well apparently you can only be called a believer if you practice a bible religion, people don't take into account that if you believe something you are a believer. I have my own religion and then there are others on here that have their own or practice something different than bible things, so why do Christians claim them as non believers or atheists or even devil worshippers? Answer me that.
