the same fate as that of any self mutilator- be it muslim, buddhist, jew or anything.
the ultimate part of forgiving belongs to that of God and we have no say in it.

Well, I don't think any of us answering this has the 100% correct answer but since you ask what we "think" I will throw my hat into the ring.
There are accounts in the bible of suicides
King Saul--1 Samuel 31:4
Saul's armor bearer--1 Samuel 31:5
Ahithopel--2 Samuel 17:23
King Zimri--1 Kings 16:18
While this issue of suicide has been evident throughout history, and maybe even glorified at times, it is not an accepted practice in the lives of nonbelievers, so certainly not in the lives of Christians. It is almost always a sign of hopelessness which from a Christian perspective leaves God out of the picture. Hope should be the quality in the life of every growing Christian and should be the strongest during times of suffering.
If we as Christians believe that God is the source of life, who are we to end that life prematurely? If we believe God gives us life just as he breathed the first breath into Adam, we dare not try to seperate ourselves from that life flow. If we look at Job, he had every reason to want to die for the things he suffered, but if we persevere through our trials like Job, God will eventually restore a sense of stability to our llives and reward our faithfulness. I think (and apologize if I am wrong) in the Catholic faith suicide is a mortal sin, thereby unpardonable. Most Protestants (like me) think it could be forgiveable if it is someone who has confessed faith in Christ. Again there is the argument that someone that takes there own life is not of sound mind and there for cannot be judged. Hopefully, you have not personally faced this tragedy with someone you love and I pray you aren't considering it, but we can only trust that God is perfectly fair and just. He will do nothing inappropriate or undeserved, and He will see us through the emotional chaos we are struggling with. I know I haven't given you a good answer, but maybe it will be food for thought.

Im honestly not sure. But in the end God will decide. My friend Alisha committed suicide when she was fifteen. She was a Christian, and i pray that she is in heaven right now. But if your thinking about committing suicide i urge you not to. It's not the answer!
For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,"declares the Lord," and will bring you back from captivity. Jeremiah 2911-14 NIV
Have a blessed day!

This is a question that I have been back and forth on my entire Christian life. On the one hand, you have the commandment that says "Thou shall not murder" and if you commit suicide, then the last thing you did was "murder" yourself. However, being saved simply means that you have Christ living in your heart (Romans 10:9-10) not that you follow the Commandments 24/7 (who is actually able to do that?) But, I think if you truly have Christ in your heart ,THEN, He will help you with your issue rather than let you kill yourself. So the question is....if someone commits suicide WERE they REALLY saved? Neither I, nor anyone else on this site, can answer that. Only God knows our heart.

I think it's like they say "God takes you home when he wants you" or "If it's your time to go, you'll go" If it wasn't your time to die, you wouldn't have. You would have some how survived your suicide attempt. I tried to commit suicide about a year and a half ago and by all accounts, I should have died according to the doctors. They said they had to upgrade my condition just to give me a chance...whatever that means. Anyway, I've thought a lot about it and if it were my time, I would have died that night. But, obviously it wasn't and so I'm still alive. I think God will take you when he wants you....no matter what the method.

I believe that if a Born-Again person were to kill their self they would
go to HEAVEN but suffer loss at the Bea-ma Seat Judgment. You don't
know God could have turned that person over to the devil to destroy
the body to save the soul.
1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1Co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
In Christ in Love,

That question, along with other questions re sin and and Gods mercy is a mystery, no one knows for sure..other than our father in heaven.
I believe, because i want to believe, but that does not mean i am correct, however, i do believe God did not create man, to create pain, i believe spiritually speaking, their is a greater plan, for all mankind, if they love God, and are willing to do his will, even if we keep failing and sinning, i think, or believe that God will deal with us all individually, giving comfort where needed, compassion, and understanding, where needed, and punishment , where needed, i do not make the rules, nor do you, or any person on earth,,so wishful thinking does get entangled..based on our own comprehension,
A christian, who takes their own life, must either no longer believe,
or is angry, and wants to hurt themself,
or mentally confused, or sick,
or consumed with hatred for something or someone,
it has to be a someone, as no one kills themself over a computer, or a chair they hate, not meaning to be sarcastic, only it is due to human,,....problelms.
If they were saved, believed they were saved, they have to know, they can't make the rules, yet if they were lost, and in termoil, God will know the circumstances,, and i believe he will comfort, and correct that persons error., if you call it that, i do believe we have to learn what he wants us to learn, and i hope i am learning what i am in need of........................so much,
pray for that person, if they are deceased, or living. or if it is you.. ASK GOD,,

All life belongs to God...and only he is allowed to take a life. So if you take your own life you'll find yourself right back here in this world re-incarnated by God for the purpose of another chance to live to the day God decides "to take your life" to the next higher plane sometimes known to us as "Heaven".

That depends..... God is the final judge as he knows the hearts of men and women. If you knowingly take a life, knowing that it is wrong and sin... then most likely hell. But if you are sick in your mind, and you don't know what you are doing...are you responsible for your actions? The human mind can get sick just like the body...

if they were saved they'd know that its not up to them to decide when they live or die. its like saying God I dont need you im taking my life into my own hands. Thats not a true Christian and I dont think a true Christian (not just somebody who says they are) would take their life. Its a sin to kill yourself, just like killing anybody else

Only 144,000 go to heaven and they are chosen for their endurance and faithfulness. A Christian who has committed suicide would most likely be resurrected during the 2nd resurrection.
