well i dont wont to copy it on a disc i just want it on my mp3 player

no it is not. if you bought a legal copy of the DVD (went to a store and bought it) and you still posess the original copy of the disc, no it is not illegal to rip that movie onto your computer. as long as you are not showing it for any commercial purpose, or giving it to others, you are completely legal. but, if you ever break the orig copy, or lose it, or throw it away, then you must also destroy the ripped file on your computer, or it is illegal

No. i do no longer think of so. Ripping DVDs isn't unlawful. you won't rip DVDs for a million. income 2. undesirable-faith applications 3. friends from places different than your place area you could rip DVDs for: a million. own makes use of two. inner maximum living house theater 3. educational and informational applications 4. friends with entertainment

Not if you don't get caught. J/k... I believe you can make a copy for your own personal use and / or back-up. If you copy and sell, that's illegal. If you make a copy, and give it away, that's illegal. Basically, if anyone other than yourself benefits from the copy, then it's illegal.

Yes, and most are encoded so you will need special programs to unscramble them first, anyways. It is pretty much impossible to find a non-copyrighted DVDs.
