According to tea etiquette, Earl Grey should be taken plain. Which is the way I prefer it. However, unless you are being invited to tea with a professional tea taster or someone who would know that, drink it however you want :-)

With a little bit of milk and a little bit of sugar. (other teas I drink with more sugar, some with honey, some with nothing at all.)

im american and sometimes use milk and sugar if im in the mood but most of the time its just a few spoons of sugar and it perfect as long as its nice and hot
