The English drink it with milk. Sorry, I am an American and I need sugar and lemon.

According to tea etiquette, Earl Grey should be taken plain. Which is the way I prefer it. However, unless you are being invited to tea with a professional tea taster or someone who would know that, drink it however you want :-)

With a little bit of milk and a little bit of sugar. (other teas I drink with more sugar, some with honey, some with nothing at all.)

Milk & sugar. When I have a sore throat, I substitute honey for the sugar.

im american and sometimes use milk and sugar if im in the mood but most of the time its just a few spoons of sugar and it perfect as long as its nice and hot
