that when women sit with their legs crossed, their feet almost always twitch (or move up and down slightly)? I'm sure I'm not imagining things. All sorts of different women seem to do the same thing. If you have noticed it, I have a few questions for you. Please answer the appropriate questions below:
Men: Have you noticed it? What do you think of it?
Women: Have you noticed that you do it? Is it intentional? If it is intentional, what is the purpose of doing it?
I think it's kinda cute, but I just want to know why women do it and how many people have noticed this.

No, I'm not trying to be suggestive here. The twitch I see is very slight, maybe an inch or so up and down.

I'm not particularly crazy about feet either, but it is a little cute. I just happened to notice the movement once, and then I got into the habit of looking to see if other women did it too.

slappingfox: I dont' know about that one, but I think it's because men typically have a hard time crossing their legs without getting in a bind (I think you know what I mean). If a man can comfortably cross his legs like a woman (i.e., knee over knee), it's commonly seen as a sign that he could be light in the loafers. The most I ever cross my legs is putting my ankle on my knee, because I have trouble getting comfortable with the knee-over-knee position.

I feel like asking this question again because men got stupid about it and women got defensive. People just read stuff into the question that is not there! I honestly had no idea what, if any, purpose the twitch had or if anyone else noticed it. I'm not one of those idiots that asks questions to further some agenda!
I guess I'll give this question another day before I pick a best answer, just in case any more latecomers show up.
suncatcher: I asked if women noticed that they twitched, and if they did it intentionally for some reason. I had already concluded it was natural or had a purpose, because all sorts of women who do not know each other do it exactly the same. However, I must commend you for managing to answer a question in "Singles and Dating" 9 hours after it was asked. It must have been on page 10 or something by the time you answered it. Good work!

You're obsessed with feet maybe. I do it all the time, force of habit I guess, who knows but very observant on your part....actually I think it could be nerves and a stress reliever.......

It's not entirely intentional. It's our nerves. I think by having them crossed, a lil blood supply is cut off, as well as nerves being pinched. The leg will just kick out of no where. I'm not sure WHY exactly, but that's a safe guess. Same way we have other body twitches, really.

Sounds normal to me. I think we do this because
our feet need something to do,or we are bored,
but I think it's not something we do on purpose.
You may not be this way at all,so don't be
offended by me,ok?,but some men believe that
women are sneeky and do things just to trick
men,ect......
I believe this is just normal behavior by us and
not meant to cause so much attention.
Why do alot of men think it's sissy to cross
their legs?

I do that when my feet are cold and in need of a good massage... or when my legs are tired of me sitting in one place for too long. :))
No woman is doing that on purpose only to get attention, as you think, no, it is something natural. And feels good, true... :)

I do that all the time. I never thought of the cause of it though. maybe a reflex, a stress reliever?

I haven't noticed it lately. I'm not really looking for that type of behaviour. I think you're getting at the possibility that they are pleasuring themselves!
