I've noticed people will ask legitimate questions about religion[sincere questions] and all they get is a bunch of mumbu jumbo about anything except a straight answer!!!

Knowledge of any sort; technichal, religious, political...usually leads to more questions...The more you know, the more aware you are of what more you don't know...

Religion can't give you any answers because it has none.

Scripture cannot give you any answer unless it is given to you personally by the Holy Spirit or the oracles of God. When this happens you will know that your question has been answered. Furthermore you probably won't have a bunch of questions for a few days. It has been my experience that when God tells you something you pretty much shut up. Over a period of time you begin to talk less and listen more.

I am saying that there is an answer in Scripture but it needs to be delivered by the right person and it must be the right Scripture.

Furthermore answers could look like "mumbu jumbo" to you because it was not ment for you. God deals with Gentiles individually and He looks upon the heart.

Did you ever stop to think. What happens when a legitimate question is asked from a heart that seeks to stir up trouble? I can tell you that God will not honor that question with an answer.

God will only deal with people at the point He last delt with them. If you need to repent you must take care of that matter. Say God told you to pay your phone bill. You don't pay it and the phone is shut off. God is not going to call you until you pay the bill.

The bottom line is that even a sincere question can be outside God's time line.

Then you have people answering for two points when they should not be answering; do not have the heart to answer; do not have the knowledge to answer; have taken a second to make fun of everything; add confusion, etc., etc.

So there are a lot of reasons why you may not see any "straight" answers. I have also seen where one right answer was given but not selected! It helps to ask and pray for answers.

Because questions help people believe or not believe. Now if a person can back up those statements with archaeological, scientific etc. to show the Bible is not inaccurate how much better would that be. The truth of the matter is many Christians just go by blind faith. They do not know any facts to back them up. However, there are many knowledgable Christians who can use evidence other than the Bible. I am a Christian but I am also a skeptic. If there was irefutable proof that Christ without a doubt did not exist I would change my faith. Other religions are the same. It all comes down to not knowing fully about ones faith.

I think you will get a different answer to this question from each "religious" leader. However, I was taught that Jesus answered questions w/ Parables because people can understand them. We identify w/ stories and movies, we picture ourselves in others shoes that way. I admit, I don't understand a bunch of what I've read in the Bible. However, I know Jesus loves me and died for me and that is all that matters. I will tell you that the NIV Bible or the Message (contemporary wording) Bible is easier to understand...hope that helps:)

Because there are no straight answers in religion. Everything is up for interpretation. It is all in faith, and is not fact.
I personally hate it when people throw a bunch of Bible verses at me and say, "Here, that's why so and so is this way". Umm...okay? What does that prove? You know how to read?

Unfortunately, everything is open to the interpretation of the person reading/describing it. People tend to filter their interpretation based on their own life experiences, beliefs, and understanding. It's not necessarily that they're trying to mislead, they're just describing it as they understand it. You, however do not have the same filters they do so their answer won't "ring true" for you. When it comes to religion or spirituality, read what you can, listen to what you can, and then walk away with the parts that struck your heart. "Take the best and leave the rest." You know in your heart what you believe - trust it.

The Qur'an teaches us that the human race is given an innate spirituality are inherent in human existence,
but this spirituality can betray us if it is not led in the right direction. To depend on a merely human
feeling of the guiding Spirit is dangerous. Many groups, even cults, claim to be guided by the spirit or
by God or by revelation, yet these groups hold divergent, even contradictory, beliefs. We find people
behaving in contradictory ways who claim nonetheless that each is doing the will of God. "I feel," they
say, "that the spirit guides and directs me."

A credible source of revelation is imperative. Throughout history Allah has selected particular
individuals to convey His message, to receive His revelation and to exemplify it for mankind

How right you are! But the key here to remember is that religion is not the answer. It is a relationship that counts. You can know all about every religion in the world and still not have peace in your heart. Jesus is the One who can and will give you peace in your troubled heart. I know... for He has done it for me and He can do it for you too. It is a personal relationship with Him that counts... not just a bunch of head knowledge! Do you know Him and do you have a personal relationship with Him?

by religion do you mean christian, Jewish, Muslim, or atheist, to name a few. all are religions. I am Christian and I try to give a comprehensive answer to any serious question. I try not to quote a lot of scriptures, but they are a major part of my life. I have seen Christians get insulting, but i have also seen agnostics and atheist do the same thing. personally I try not to answer questions that i feel are there to start an argument. or are hard to read because there is so must bad grammar and misspelled words in them. I also skip the ones with vulgar language in them.

It's all marketing. New Coke, Classic Coke, Diet Coke. Take your pick. Ask about market share, return on investment, customer base, the youth market, product loyalty, etc. You name it, religions have been perfecting their business plan for thousands of years. The difference is: you never get the actual product they are selling you: only the advertising. It's like a road trip: the enjoyment is the trip, not the destination.

Well, science is into straight answers. The bible can be interpreted many ways. Some are historically accurate and others are scientifically accurate. Some denominations -Lutheran, Catholic, Methodist - keep an open mind about most issues, whereas others like to give you concrete answers.
