Call the RSPB or RSPCA as they will take it off your hands and treat it for free.

Most rehab centers will not take in pigeons because they are not a native species (not protected) or automatically euthanize the bird (most likely if it is injured). If you want to save the bird your best bet would be to take it in to a vet clinic as a pet (if you do not take it in as a pet they will most likely euthanize it). If the bird is suffering tremendously, the kindest thing to do would be to put it out of misery. Vets will usually euthanize injured wildlife free of charge. If you are unable to get a vet (weekend), you will have to do this yourself. To put it out of it's misery yourself, the best method would be to very quickly twist the birds neck so that the death is instant and as painless as possible. If you intend to help the bird and possibly set it free, find it a home or keep it as a pet, see this website: http://www.pigeons.biz/forums/index.php?s=26251ea8b5185e97a88ba95ef40cb051 . To locate a rehab see this link: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/

Hope this helps!

No animal deserves to be put out so you call it!!!! You must help it, there may be life left yet. Take it to the rspca they will take care of it, or take it to the vets they will treat it til its better to go back out again. Some people on this site are really a joke for saying pluck it and roast it etc, sad people you lot are.

Do you have an animal rescue place? here in Britain it is the P.D.S.A. Peoples dispensary sick animals....ring the operator & I'm sure they will find a number local to your home.
I know some people think "Its only a pigeon" but if its suffering a vet could perhaps help it. If its a rescue centre you wont have to pay. you never know you could be its lifesaver.

Bless you

Any local vet will take an injured wild animal from anyone and deal with it at no cost to yourself. That's guaranteed. Just don't try it with a pet!

personally i don't care but you must do. take it to a animal shelter or rescue place. you don't have to pay for it. i mean its not your pet is it. just say you found it. if the vets or whoever decide to put it out of its misery then at least they will do it in a more humane way than you.

I find PVC glue best for wood. Stick it back together & give it a good sandpapering followed with a lick of paint.
