Hi Felix, & good luck with your new car.

That is such a low cost posted above! Where I live, you could never earn enough to buy insurance until you reached 25! We don't pay reg. but an annual road tax. Plus fuel, oil, maintenance, depreciation, & any extras under the insurance excess. (You could take an advanced/defensive driving course, which keeps the price down? A once-off cost is nothing against an annual debit. Or U could offer to raise the excess?)

OK, What are U insuring it against? What's optional?
I had a summer job with an insurance co. & the staff used to joke among themselves: "Fire Plus Theft?!" "Yeah, who would want to steal a burning car?" 3rd-party isn't optional, but often F&T is bundled with that. If you could afford to buy that car again maybe U could live without the extra risks. The engine & fuel tank capacity is also factored in, as is any car rated as sporty. If U really are 18, U are OK there; if your car is a red shiny change-of-life car, we are talking high premiums!

There may be options you could untick for a minimum premium, if your car is an OK vehicle but not an irreplaceable work of art?
As I heard, it is up to the customer to ring around and ask companies: "What information could I give you that would possibly reduce my annual premium? Are there any factors which would improve the figure? Could I reduce the excess?"

You may want to contact your tax , title and registration department about that. As for insurance I would strongly suggest you call around to different insurance companys but to be honest insurance for male drivers under 25 is normally going to run high. It is pretty hard to tell you how much these things will cost cause they can vary , the only you going to find out is by calling the department I referred you to and calling the insurance companys.

The registration is different county by county, state by state.
My County and State charges ~$79 per year (plus sales tax if you just bought the car) plus $10 per year to have the emissions tested.
I've heard that places like FL and KS could be $500 per year.

Insurance on you is probably going to be >$100/month

suppose to be state law and through out the us Emissions can't go over 25.00 or you can report them.Anyway in Ga. we have to pay registeration, tax, and emisions all at once. If the car is already tagged you should have to pay 20.00 reg. plus a prorated tax till your sticker is dead and then they will send you a tax value of your car later and then you will know what you have to pay and it will probably decrease 2-3 buck every year.
