i am located in brantford ontario canada and overall i think all police officers are good people i just think they get judged by citizens in the community when they cant find thier stolen car or place a charge that the victim wants or they cant respond to your calls fast enough, however you have to consider that some of the services are very backed up and have to base the calls upon which ones are most important. if you call and say someone is in your backyard looking around and they arnt trying to break into your house or steal any property and its just somoene tresspassing and than they have another call where someone is getting assaulted what one do you think you would go to? i think anywhere you go you are always going to find a cop who is dishonest which is very sad. but on the other hand you have to keep in mind for all the bad ones that are out there how many more good ones are there.. i would say tons.
thank you all you men and women who are involved in law enforcement and respond to the calls for the safety of the public. each and every one of you deserve more respect!
on the other hand what really is a corrupt cop? is a corrupt cop one that pulls a a car over and takes your marijuana and smokes it on his own time? is that corrupt if you say yes well lets say same scenerio the same cop who takes your marijuana and smokes it but on that same night he arrests 3 drunk drivers and saves a few lives is he really a bad cop? i dont think so ... sure taking the pot and smoking it is wrong but if hes a good cop and does a awesome job than really would it be worth letting him go?

In Kent Washington the cops are crazy they once gave my mom a ticket for going 5 mph over!
In the paper it said that 1 in every 5 people get a speeding ticket yearly that's counting the people not driving as well!

Yes! Very much so, we see them walking , in the towns restaurants, in churches, their children go to towns schools and they are friendly and caring. Why dont you start a neighborhood meeting with the local police, to meet ,talk and ask of whatever the people need answers? You will be surprise how much a simple ;good morning ' goes and if it comes with a smile ,better. Try it , you will se the difference.

you can trust them not to help when you need it!.. but then again ,here on long island , ny they only get paid $100,000 a yr plus they work construction and other jobs "off the books" taking away work from tax payers who'll pay for their enormous pension when they retire after 20 yrs.. what should i expect for that ?[ am i jelous? maybe... but it goes a lot further than that...50yrs bad stories and bad cops!

They tend to be overzealous and overworked. They can't find stolen vehicles, but can write hundreds of iffy tickets. The real crimes go undiscovered while they search out people who do not salute them and harrass them.

As everywhere, there are the bad ones unfortunately.
However I do respect the job the honest ones do.
