Forget about everyone else and focus on the both of you. If you're really best friends, you'll stay that way whether the relationship works out as mates or not. That's what true friendship is about--you're always there no matter what. If the feelings are there, let him know. He'll tell you how he feels and you go from there. The same happened to me and I talked to him. We agreed to take it slow and see what happened with it, but to remain best friends regardless. We have been married for 8 yrs and are still going strong!

Just be honest with him on how you feel. Maybe suggest a real date to see how it works out. They say it's better to be friends before lovers. Just remember that if it doesn't work out you'll have to be sure how you'll both deal with that. Just to let you know, I've been where you are and I'm now happily married to my best friend and have a beautiful daughter and another on the way. We were friends for almost 8 years before we hooked up.

real life story. this happened to me.
I really liked one of my best friends. one day i called her to see if she wanted to go to a movie. we sat together in the back row. (hint the armrests go up) in the begining i made sure i had some body contact (legs touching or 2 arms on the armrest) about 1/3 into the movie i slowly put my hand on my leg but close to hers. hopefully they will do the same slowly move your hand closer until they are touching. lift you hand up above the other persons slowly and if they are interested then they will open there hand and you can slide your hand into theres and intertwine ur fingers.hold hands for the rest of the movie. remember to let the other person accept every movement you make and dont force anything. let it flow.
good luck
god bless +

Be careful bad! Getting involved with your best friend....if it doesn't work out, you lose your best friend too! That is worse than losing a boyfriend. Then again, it may end up being the best thing to ever happen....wedding march goes here....Communication with him is the total key! Share information a little at a time, and feel it out. I hate to see you lose your best mate. Good luck. Nana

Why not try things out?

Your boyfriend/girlfriend should (hopefully) grow into your best friend anyway, so why not?

If you've got a good friendship, it should be able to survive the chances you're forced to take with a relationship. I'd definately say it's a chance worth taking.

First u have 2 ask yourself whether r u suitable being his BF or more than that. Then discuss with him whether does he agrees with it. It is kind of cool 2 have a boyfriend but it gets harder than b4. Break a leg

I would tell him... Just sit him down and ask him what he thinks about what everyone else is saying.... Then tell him that you kinda like the idea and that you would like to give it a shot.... I all the luck in the world!!!

so u need to ask yourself 1st, would u rather get closer to him be more than friends, or would u rather keep him as a friend? usually, after being lovers, it's harder not exactly easy to become what u were b4. that's the problem with falling in love with a male good friend

Well if you really feel the chemistry is there, why not see what happens if you try to kiss him. Sounds to me like you can't lose.

If he's your best friend you should be able to discuss it with him. But if it doesn't work out, you will lose your best friend most likely.
