This isn't to bring negative attention to any religion. I am just curious about opinions. Thanks.

Religions are not violent. Religious people are violent. All major religions today preach peace and love. It's the people their religions that misinterpret their scriptures and philosophies and make up religious justifications for their own violence.

I'd say Christianity and Islam.
I'm not saying that all Christians or Muslims are violent, but some have taken scripture to violent legnths.

The Chrstians decited to go on a crusade to "liberate the holy land". When they reached Jerusalem, they slaughtered every Muslim and Jew they could find.

In the Inqusition, people were burned alive (including St. Joan of Arc) for "witchcraft", or being mentally ill, unpopular, midwifery, practicing herbal medicine, astronomy, astrology, alchemy, chemistry, biology. All of these were considered blasphemy.
They took the (mistranslated) script from the bible "Thou Shalt not suffer a witch to live", as a demand from god to kill anyone the church disagreed with.

With Islam, you have widespread violence against women in some countries. Honor killings, beatings, stoning, drowning, burnings, female circumcision. Once again, I'm not saying all muslims practice the above.
I could also go into numerous incidents by muslim fundamentaists, 9/11 and the more recent events in Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, and the UK.

I don't recall anyone declaring war in the name of Buddha, or the Goddess.

True Judaism and true Christianity have kept the evil in mankind in check for thousands of years. You shall not kill, ..turn the other cheek etc. For example ,when the Roman emperor converted to Christianity ,practices such as the barbaric feeding of the unfortunate to the lions stopped .
The crusaders who went back to certain parts of the Middle East did so only after the savage jhihadists first with swords in hand, violently invaded and subjugated everyone and everything they could all the way up to even parts of Europe. It's been their MO for ages. There is a big difference between taking and the re-taking back from those who forcefully took.
As in our current struggle with the bedeviled Islamists, (non-Islamic World) the violence has first been forced upon Christian and Jewish Nations by men of the truest evil. Don't be blind to those who can justify the killing of the Innocent.ie: As in 911 , train station bombings etc. They are so deluded by the dark incantations they repeat over and over again ad nauseaum that they them selves are blind to their own robotic trance which compels them to abandon reason and sense to the degree they actually prefer death and to live suffering with the great hate which eats at them inside continually . Please try to study History to sort hearsay from fact. Not convinced, tap into the URL that's included; http://jihadwatch.org/

I don't think that 1 religion is most violent. I believe that you have extremist in each religion that give it a bad name. For example, some Christians have believed in violence KKK and some Muslims like AL-queda are violent. On the flip side, some Christians like Benny Hinn and T D Jakes are preaching love. So it varies to the left and right.

In ancient times, Christianity caused the deaths of millions especially during the times of the crusades. In modern times, Muslims follow a very strict form of Islam and the extremists are the ones that commit all forms of terrorism but that doesn't mean Islam as a whole is bad.

Currently, Islam. Historically, probably Christianity.

For Islam -- no explanation needed.

For Christianity -- well, consider the Crusades, the Inquisition and the general attitude of the Church from the Middle Ages.

Zombie, funny how u can say "no explanation needed" for Islam and its a religion of hate just because u say it. just because the minority of Muslims are terrorists today doesnt mean the religion preaches hate. and YES, its a minority! u may not think so because thats all u see in the news! u never see the good Muslims

answer to the original question: i've heard Judaism preaches hate (i.e. "chosen people" ?), but i will not say i agree to that because i dont know a lot about Judaism.

Catholicism has waged more wars, crusades, and holy whoo has then any other religion on the planet, it has deemed itself the America of religions (america has been in twenty wars in two hundred years, you do the math). Not to say its a bad religion, but in its many years it has been a very bloody one.

Total Innocent lifes taken by:

Christianity.. their leaders kill politically... bombings on heroshima and nagasaki ... holocaust....!!

muslims are not terrorists... they are brainwashed and most of them are eager to take revenge for the killing of their relatives in iraq, afghanistan or elsewhere... because muslims considers every other muslim a brother.. so if 1 muslim is being hurt in iraq the other muslim from any country will go to take revenge of the life of his brother.....

but most of those DUMB *** MUSLIMS forget the teachings of QURAN and ISLAM... ME BEING A MUSLIM CONDEMN ALL TYPE OF TERRORISM.... AHHH THE LONDON BOMBERS SAID THEY WERE MARTYRS, I CALL THEM COWARD KILLERS, BECAUSE ISLAM NO WHERE TEACHES ANYONE TO KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE

The person can only be called a Martyr if he dies while defending his family, country, religion etc in a WAR ZONE... and martyrs do not need to kill anyone.. they can defend their country by their deeds... !

All religions are violent because people are violent (of course that is a gross generalization). The real question is: which violence is being broadcast on the news?
