No, but then men have different ways of dealing with upset. Mine sincerely believes that beer/ football and or sex solves all the problems of this world. It's a man thing.
Your best bet is to talk what you a feeling through with a girlfriend. If you're short on them right now, you can always IM me.
Sorry about your mum. It must have been a shitty day for you.

YOu bet your *** you have a right to be pissed. Its probably a very sad day for you and you are experiencing a lot of emotions. Its natural that you would want your other half to be by your side and he should be. One, he said he would be, and two, because its important to you. If he has an issue with drinking deal with that first. When he gets bacl let him know how sad you are that he wasnt there for support. If he blows you off, tell him off, then drop him like a bad habit.

Do you really need to publish that question on the internet to know the answer? Anniversaries are always difficult and should be spent with families and loved ones. I would be showing my partner a red card for that kind of behaviour.
Hope today hasn't been too upsetting for you and remember:
"Better that you should foget and smile, then that you should remember and be sad". Think of her with love, not tears.

Why didn't you go with him? It is sad that your mum died and that you think of her and miss her, that is okay and as it should be - it will get easier with time. However, are you sure you are not letting it take over your life and refining on it too much hence your partner is getting fed up with it? I am sure your mum would not have wanted you to mourn her at the cost of everyone else.
I had three of my very close family die within a very short time, however life has to go on and I had to think of the rest of my family.

the question you must ask yourself, would your mum want you to be sad? I would say go to the pub with him and have a drink for your mum. death is funny thing, but life goes on, dont dwell on the past but move forward with your life.

You are not only right but he is unbelievably wrong! This action is a very selfish, uncaring act and if this is the way he always is, I would take this time to reflect not only on your beloved Mum but also on your relationship with this man and if it is truly what you want. Don't you deserve better?

Use this time then to be alone with your thoughts and maybe say a prayer or just talk to your Mum and tell her that you love her.

He is a little insensitive but maybe he does not know how to deal or help you with your grief.
I hope you can work through this difficult time
