It should be 2-3 weeks after the 1st shot and than they need a third shot 2-3 weeks after the 2nd shot. This procedure is done in kittens and puppies in their 1st year because they have to develop an immunity toward the virus. If it has been 6 months since the last shot than double check with the vet because he/she may or may not do another series of shots again so the cat doesn't get sick. Good Luck

My vet gives the kittens their 1st shots at 6 wks then the 2nd round at 9 wks....but if they're to be done like that I wouldn't wait 6 mnths inbetween.

Cats need to be vaccinated on a schedule in order to build its immune system just like children. It would be pointless to wait 6 months to booster the vaccination. You just wasted the money getting the first one because now you would have to start all over. Most vets booster vaccinations every 3 weeks not 2

you will have to ask the vet , but i guess so long as you get the second one it should be fine
