Penetration is the definition for most, but oral sex is also a form of sexual activity. Heavy kissing falls under foreplay, and heavy petting also is in that category.

its sex when cloths start coming off and you have your tongue deeper in her mouth than usual and also when she goes down on you or vis versa. so all of the above i think, thats why im trying to stay away for the time being cause now that i think about it i had sex with all the females ive ever talked to, all except for penetration. hey ewwww im nasty!

Oral sex, Vaginal sex, and Anal sex are the types that i know of. i think every thing else is just heavy petting, but thats just my opinion.

All of those things are sexual, but in my opinion, it's not full fledged sex until intercourse. The others are sexual acts, and most definitely foreplay.
