The first roots will show up after 4 to 6 week after you first dye it. After that it all depends on how fast your hair grows. Cut it short so it doesn't look to bad if it is a big difference in color.

It depends on what color you want, I dye my hair red, my hair stays red, but over 3-3 1/2 weeks it turns sort of orange and it looks ugly. I don't know about other colors, but red is hard to maintain!. I dye my hair every 3 weeks, my hair grows fast so my roots show up around 3 weeks.

Your hair genarally grows 1/4- 1/2 a month, if you have a "line" in your hair color and are wanting to give up on the color thing, I recommend semi-permanant hair color ( to match your natural hair color), it only lasts 4-6 weeks,,and does not damage your hair like bleach or permanent hair color , does the same thing with WAY LESS DAMAGE! but can get it at a Sally Beauty Supply, very resonably. WHEN you find the right color, be sure to save the number ie:5G etc, to maintain it. Good luck. ASK QUESTIONS. Be sure you know what you need to do. Otherwise you were not specific enough... I could give you a color class, but been up 22+ hours. Night night.

depends on the type of hair u have. the more u cut the ends the faster it will grow! conditioning is key to any colored hair! good luck! and try to stay away from bleaching your hair!

it really depends on how fast your growth rate is(for your hair, obviously). Some people's hair grow faster then others and vice versa.

Within a month you can see your roots. Sometimes even earlier.
