Let me answer that question -- with a question.
What makes you think that God gave you cancer?
Honestly, God had nothing to do with your cancer. He has everything to do with your way of dealing with this trial.
Pray that he will reveal himself to you through this ordeal. He promises to turn ALL things to good. He did that with death on the cross -- and He will do that with your cancer.
I will pray for you as well.

God didnt give you cancer, though I wonder why you blame him. This is a sinful world and we are still living in it- so we are going to be inflicted with iniquities regardless. Though if you do have cancer I would say that its a good time to ask what the purpose of your life is... start from there, of course I know from looking at your past posts that you are anti- God so... its totally up to you. Anyhow I am sure that even if you despise God that you are prolly a decent person, so look into your resources and see what kind of help you can get. I hope you feel better soon. I know that it is a painful thing to go through. Good luck dude

It is also the fact that the element of good is more in the creation than the element of evil. We all see that there are more people who are healthy than those who are sick. There are more that eat well then those who starve. There are more that live decent life then those who commit crimes. Goodness is the rule and evil is the exception. Virtue is the norm and sin is the aberration. Generally trees bear fruits, the flowers bloom, the winds move smoothly. .
This is a temporary world and every thing here has a time limit. When its times comes it will die, come to an end and finish. Neither the good things of this world are forever, nor the bad things eternal. We are here for a short time and we are being tested. Those who will pass this test they will find an eternal world that is perfect and permanent. Those who will fail this test they shall see the evil consequences of their sins and corruption.
How many times it happens that we are not careful and still we reach safely to our destinations. The way people drive in some cities, it is a miracle that more accidents do not happen and more people do not suffer. Allah says: (Allah) Most Gracious! 2- It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 3- He has created man: 4- He has taught him speech (and Intelligence). 5- The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 6- And the herbs and the trees both (alike) bow in adoration. 7- And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 8- In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 9- So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 10- It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures. (al-Rahman 55:1-10)
Abu Yahya Suhaib bin Sinan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "How wonderful is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. If prosperity attends him, he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him, he endures it patiently and that is better for him".

I am so sorry to hear you have cancer. It must have been a terrible blow for you. I hope that you do well in your recovery.
First, let me state that I am not a doctor, nor do I have any sort of medical expertise. My view on cancer is a personal opinion.
But recovery, in my point of view, does not merely come from medical expertise and following the doctor's advice. It comes from within oneself. I believe that the disease of cancer is a turning in upon oneself. A sort of self hatred. Do you harbor resentment, anger or are you being unforgiving for what you perceive as slights or wrongs? Is this a habit for you? Self hatred or resentment causes one to eat away at themselves, IMHO. If this is the case, forgive your fellow travellers in this world and get on with living.
But most especially, forgive yourself, if that is the case, and stay on the path or get back on it.
God didn't give you cancer, dear one, but He will certainly help you in your recovery.
There have been many advances in oncology these days. Follow your doctor's advice, forgive yourself and/or others, then go and volunteer your time somewhere.
I know you will be okay.
Sending love and healing your way.

God did not give you cancer!
Everything has a reason. My mom is going through chemo. My father in law is terminally ill with cancer. I lost my godchild of brain cancer at age of 5...I do not rely on my understanding. I serve God, He knows His business. He has the whole eternity to make it up to us. Maybe He uses other people so we start to seek Him. I would not have survived without Him.

You know wut, if you are a Christian, cancer can be a blessing. You feel you have nothing to live for. You feel hopeless. That is a perfect combination for an extremely intense relationship with God. Now you will depend on Him with all your heart, which is what He asks of all of us. Sometimes I wish something happened to me so I would understand that God is all I need, that all the other things I stress about eventually wont matter. The more we humble ourselves in front of God, the more blessings He'll give to you. And remember, this life on earth is just a blink of an eye compared to life in Heaven.

God did not gave you cancer, that is a disease, this question I believe is out of context on this board where most of the respondents are children ages 9 and over, my mother died of cancer and I don't think for a minute God gave her that disease.

Why the suffering when we need to affirm godliness, whether in the figure of a caring God or under the guise of human lovingkidness? This is a mystery that takes on a sinister face when pain and despair hit us at close range.
I do believe in God and I do worship God, but the closer I get to God the more unfathomable God's mystery. I don't see a cogent answer to pain's:"why" but I do hope there'll be a great deal of heaven sent solidarity around you.

Your cancer could have come from the environment, from genetic factors, from pollution in the air or water, from poor nutritional habits or any number of other things. God DID NOT give you cancer!!
