well, since he is your best guy friend you must be pretty friendly. Just say, "Hey, would you like to go to the dance with me?" If there is now an awkward silence, say, "as friends." At least you will know if he likes you at this point. Who knows, maybe chemistry will spark at the dance. Then you two could be an item. Don't be scared. Just do it.

Just look him in his eyes and ask him ,if he would like to take you to the dance ,your answer will be in his eyes

oh thats a hard one.... but hmm.. well you could allways ask him sayin " so who are you going to the dance with?" if he says no one then say "ok will you go with me?" if he says no then say i was on a dare.
