When WEREN'T the Jews a hated people? Every folk they have come into contact with since Genesis has pretty much hated their guts. The Bible is more or less a record of 5000 years of Anti-Semitism, from Moses and the Egyptians right on down.

Dont u see how they cause misery and difficulty to the previous messenger eg; Moses and Jews. Remember how their earliest ancestor try to kill their own brother,Joseph. And why is it the Nazi is persecuting jews, cos the jews will control ur economy and living u high in debt.
The jews hav always been persecute most of their past history, why do u think that happened. There must be something wrong with these jews.
Now they r the one controlling american media n economy(ask mel and MJ, hey sure know bout it). They r the one planting hatred to the Muslims. And now they're starting a war , due to their 3-4 soldier is being caught( when in fact they hav been occupying souther Lebanon for 20 years, capturing thousand of lebanese army and civilian before-learn ur history man)

There are two different ways to look at this. (I took a college class that taught me this so that is where my source is from). You can look at it from the historians view where Jew hatred began with Hitler and the Nazi parties or you can dig deeper and figure out that the hatred of Jews started at Calvary when Jesus died on the cross. Jesus was actually killed by his own people-the pharisees. they didn't believe that he was the son of God because if the son of God came their would no longer be a need for pharisees. Jesus was a Jew and he DID have Jewish followers. So the pharisees hated his followers who were just like them, Jews, because they followed Jesus. Sorry if this confuses anyone. That's the gist of it

I think the original source is the Jewish religion, which claims Jews are God's chosen people. That is the source of nationalism, and nationalism creates counter nationalism, which ultimately causes hatred.

Jews have been "hated" since before Christ. The pagan Romans didn't care much for Jews. But then the pagans were killed en masse by the Christians, and then Muslims were killing, and then there were more Christians killing Muslims, yada yada yada... Every group has its religious zealots. It really demeans the concept of religion, which should be comforting.

It stems quite far back even before Jesus' time. Not all people share hatred from Jews. It just stems from peoples ignorance just as any other religious, or racial prejudices. I am Christian btw but it's what history shows.

during Abraham's time. God promised him a son, instead of Abraham waiting on the Lord, he decided to help by marrying his wife's handmaiden and she gave birth to Ishmael, then Abrahams wife did give birth to the promised child, Issac.
to make a long story short, Sarah sent her handmaiden away with Ishmael. this is when the whole thing started.
this started the fight that lives today between the Jews and the Muslims.

I'm afraid we Christians have a lot answering to do regarding the invention of anti-semitism. Just by labelling a book "New Testament" as if the Jewish book needed to be reviewed and corrected (the "Old Testament") we show how intolerant and self-righteous we are. Shame on us!

Okay, no one should hate the Jewish people. It's racist, and racism is ridiculous. But, I'm guessing that part of the problem was the whole:
Jewish people = God's chosen people
Gentiles (everyone else) = unclean heathens
But I'm just guessing, and like I said, racism is stupid. (And if anybody reading this is racist, yes, I suppose that I am insulting you.)
