I can't stand my husbands sisters. They act like they are so much better than me. Take my word for it they are losers. Tonight while I was taking my children to bible school, they put a piece of dog poop on my walk way. I watch my dog closely and he goes in the woods. How can I get even with them or at least get them to leave me alone? (They never pull this crap when my husband is home.)

Pure jealousy my dear. My SIL was the same way for years & we were best friends before I met her brother. Go figure!!! Ignore them, they sound like a bunch of immature wenches.

Just accept that they are going to be unpleasant. They are more then likely jealous of you. You can have your husband talk to them, but without proof they will deny doing anything wrong and turn it against you. Do your best to limit your families contact with them. You might try taping any nasty phone conversations with them for your husband to hear. I sometimes repeat back to someone what they said and ask did you really mean to say that. It helps if others are around and you keep an innocent look on your face. Make sure your not the one overheard saying unpleasant thing about them. Last but not least try defending them to other people by saying things like they don't even realize what they Say, just the other day they said to me...... People will know they are being rude and you are just trying to be understanding of their unpleasant personalities. Good Luck - unfortunately you will need it with this situation.

I know what you mean...my sister in law threatened to call social services on me if I didn't stop talking to my own brother. Have you tried calling the police and filing a report so that they have on record what they are doing? Or set up a video camera somewhere hidden and catch them in the act that way you can tell them if it doesn't stop then you will be pushed to call the police. Just enough to scare them into leaving you alone is what I would od and if they still don't then you actually have evidence of harrassment.

Distance! ~ My sister-inlaws birthday is the same as mine & over 36 years of being married, I've found that the further away I am from 'them', the better life is! It's difficult to grasp how much different sibblings can be so horribly opposite! It's the source of all the 'in-law' jokes in the world & it's too sad to be a joke!

What makes you think they put it there? Maybe it was just
a stray dog? But, if they are the types who would do that just
to watch your expression, then they are so immature. It's like
the old flaming paper bag full of doggie doo on the doorstep
trick. Ding dong.

They may just outgrow it. They sound young. Just remain true
to yourself and they may grow to admire you. Their silly little tricks
aren't really enough to ruffle your feathers, are they? Rise above it for your family sake. Your hubby will love you for it.

Getting even really shows immaturity so I would nix that idea. Have you spoken at all to your husband about his sisters' childish behavior? You need to work this out with your husband and he needs to intervene if necessary on your behalf. You don't say how long this has been going on.

Don't try to get even. That just lowers you to their level. Just ignore them, and live your life. That is the best way to get back at them.

Remember - Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Put in in a paper bag and leave it in their cars on a hot day. Or you might just call them up and say "B*tch, do you want me to shove this sh*t down your throat or up your a**"? At least you're giving them a choice! Good luck with that. I don't do well with morons myself. Hope my advice helps.

just accept them as ignorant people. be civil to them. dont lose your temper or do anything you might regret later. and if you are still having trouble with them, talk with your husband about it and tell him whats going on and try to do something to stop all of this.
