Waffles are a tasty treat, whether served for breakfast, brunch or dinner. Dress them up with fruit, flavored syrups or a bit of confectioners' sugar.
Ingredients:
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 stick butter - melted (1/2 c.)
maple syrups
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. baking powder
mixing bowls
waffle irons
mixing spatulas
Steps:
1. Close lid to waffle iron and plug in. Follow manufacturer's instructions for correct setting.

2. Beat eggs well in medium mixing bowl.

3. Add flour, buttermilk, baking powder, baking soda, salt and butter and mix until just combined.

4. Check waffle iron to be sure it is hot. If the waffle iron has one, the thermostat indicator or light will show that it is ready.

5. Open lid of waffle iron.

6. Using a measuring cup, pour about 1 c. batter into bottom of waffle iron. (Check manufacturer's instructions if you are not sure how much batter to add to your waffle iron.)

7. Close lid.

8. Let waffle cook until steam no longer comes out of waffle iron or until waffle is light brown and slightly crisp.

9. Remove cooked waffle with a fork.

Tips:
Most waffle irons are nonstick. If you're worried about waffles sticking, spray the plates of your waffle iron with a light coating of nonstick cooking spray before you plug it in.

Put leftover waffles in a freezer bag and freeze. Pop into the toaster to warm and crisp.

Kashi frozen 100% whole wheat grain.

Pop 'em in toaster.

Top them off with fresh blueberries & strawberries & fresh almonds & surgar free log cabin syrup ...

OMG they're so good ... I won't even eat waffles from IHOP or other resturants 'cas this is sooo good (1000% more healthy too).
