Why is this evil terrorist disease trying infect a peaceful people and in turn hurt their own people?

I know they are not happy about the middle east situations, no-one is!!! Nobody wants to see innocent women and children and men being blown up for nothing!!!

If they want to hurt the government hurt the government!

Leave the children alone!!!

Give them a chance to live some kind of normal life rather than living in fear.

Islam does not justify the killing of innocents - not even in war. It is well documented that civilians were not killed back in the days of the Prophet(pbuh).
Even prisoners were treated humanely and with dignity. Not like nowadays where human beings are tortured by the great "democracies".
In my view, as much as the world has progressed forward, we are morally more backward than ever. The people in power are only in it for money. While people in the undeveloped world die of hunger, people in the "developed" world are dying because they are eating too much. We let stupid angry people set the precedent for the rest of the muslim world. Justice nowadays means a burgular can sue you if he falls through your roof.
Im sorry if this has turned into a rant but its true that we are more backward than ever, and if you are looking for a reason, it is because we have neglected religion and become a shadow of our former selves.
I think the only way we can redeem ourselves is religion. God knows us better than ourselves. After all, He made us and knows how we work. Who are we to say that we can make better laws than Him?
We need to go back and follow the pure unadulterated form of our religion and stop listening to people who just shout over the others.

By the way; this is an open forum and all, But would people please stop taking digs at Islam and the Quran. It is very hurtful, abusive and inciteful. People who hurl abuse at other peoples religion are part of the problem. And I would encourage anybody to have a look in the Quran and show me where it says that killing innocents is lawful. There is no place in Islam for terrorism, radicalism, killer clerics, terrorist sympathiser wotsits or whatever the media is calling it now.

Well said but two issues which I will broaden on.

First, not all the Muslims consider these "terrorists" terrorists. Remember, one man's martyr is another man's terrorist.

There was a time when George Washington and Benjamin Franklin were called terrorists.

Second, yes it is time for Muslims to wake up and do something but we are just so consumed with greed and lust for power, land, money, and "to be free from the enslavement of Allah" and to be more like Americans and Europeans that we are not one anymore. We are not united and we are more concerned with pleasing the powerhouse in Washington D.C. than with what happens to an average person or about our own future and our children and the fate of the world.

For those of you haters above me who all claim to have this deep-rooted in the Koran and what not, how many of you have actually read the Koran? And when you hear things or see quotes, try to be a little intelligent and understand the context in which it was said. Otherwise you are nothing but a mindless drone who just repeats what is told to him.

It is a recorded fact in history that as long as Muslims followed the Koran and the ways of the Sunna, they flourished. The Muslims empire ruled the world. There can never be peace with muslim's. The quran teaches them to live in peace with their neighbours only while they are too weak to attack them.

I wish it were only that easy. I continue praying for peace but how are the Muslim at whole supposed to stop the distructive people who are poison their religion? Any suggestions? Many of the religious leaders have denounced it. How must they stop it though?
