Someone told me once that dishwashing liquid worked well to strip the dye soon after coloring.

You'll have to condition the hell out of your hair after that. Hair dye isn't bad for your hair, it can actually add some shine, body and life. Bleaching is worse....but if you know what you're doing it should be OK. There are strippers too, but I think they're pretty damaging.

If the color isn't exactly right in a few weeks go over it with something very close to your original haircolor. Don't worry too much....this too shall pass. It grows out a little every day!

I have been dying my hair for over 20 years and It hasn't hurt mine yet. The best thing to remove the color in your hair is a perm. Just put it on your hair and comb it through, the color will come out. This won't be too harsh on your hair, and is very inexspensive. A good one is Olgevie for colored treated hair. Good Luck.

They have hair color strippers but they are VERY damaging to your hair. My friend Melanie, when she wanted to get rid of her color she used Dawn Dish soap. It actually worked! Seriously, try it.
