Yes, it can take days to kill them off..It has to kill them as the eggs hatch..but you should see improvement soon..by the way..outdoor cats are big time carriers of the new fleas..as they roam into other people's yards and bring them home..So, if you have cats you need to treat them as well...sigh...fleas are such a nuisance!
But, the stuff tht you sprayed in the house should ease your problem soon...
Best of luck to you and yours..

Sometimes you have to treat the house as well as the dog my friend.
I know your elderly friend might be sensitive to pesticides, but letting her get bit by fleas all day is no better. Maybe she could stay with a friend or relative for the night so you can spray the house with insecticide without making her ill. You might want to hire a professional exterminator. Wash blankets and bedding where the dog lays around alot, vaccuum everything well too. The flea eggs are in the carpet and stuff. They hatch out every few weeks. Sorry. I know it is a hassle.

I'm not exactly sure I understand your question. Are you saying the Frontline did'nt work so you bought more expensive stuff-and then what?
When you apply Frontline you should'nt let your pet get wet or give it a bath for 2 days.i use Advantix and again will not allow the dogs to get wet {playing in the pool or romping in the creek}for 2 days to give it plenty of time to soak in and dry and I've had no problem with either product.
