In Kansas City:

Probably the top five are:
1. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
2. Capital Grill
3. Plaza III
4. Morton's Steakhouse
5. Majestic Steak house

Currently Ruth's Chris has the best sizzling steak, I generally get the large fillet. Dry aged. Service is incredible.

Capital has this wonderful sliced fillet that I recommend.

Plaza III is the epitome of classic Kansas City steak. Don't be asking for no New York strip here.

Morton's is classic old school.

Majestic has the most fabulous thick fillets in town.

Your choice in restaurant should include these rather than Applebees,Lonestar or Outback.

If I have to pick one of the list, Lonestar.
Applebees tries to make too many different kinds of food and isn't excellent at any of them. I don't like the seasoning at Outback and don't think that the restaurant is as good as everyone seems to think it is.
You get a better steak at a restaurant like Ruth Chris's Steakhouse.
I personally have had the best steak from cattle crossbreed with wagyu cattle, but it wasn't from a restaurant. I also enjoy locally raised and harvested cattle because it hasn't been processed as much.

Also, in Kansas City I would never go to the Golden Ox. I had a horrible experience there which among other things included a cold steak.

Not applebees. I just had one the other day and it wasn't very good. Never been to Lonestar. Never had steak at Outback. But Longhorn has great steaks!

Out of the three you mentioned, I would have to say Applebee's but a really good steak can be found at Ruth Chris's Steakhouse, J Alexanders, or Houstons.

Of the three on your list I would pick Lonestar. Myself I would rather go to Jess and Jim's, The Herford House or The Golden ox for steaks. Jess and Jim's being the best.

Between the three, Lonestar is the best. But personally, Timberline Steakhouse is the ultimate. They are only located in Kansas City, Kansas and Wichita, Kansas.

Well, out of those three my choice is Outback but, in Canada, we have a chain of restaurants called The Keg (not sure if they're in the US) and I much prefer those steaks to anyone else's.

Of the 3 Lonestar, but I don't think they are that good.
