So why dont people get to know about Islam before they can critisize?

There a whole lot of explanations for every subject in islam but do people take the time of day to wanna know, wel u can ask me if u wanna.

u see islam is not the only religion to be misrepresented and so my point is look at the teachings please dont just say oh this person is like this so i dont like her, think before u speak.

you know , I keep seeing the same question ...this one over and over...but if you truly want to know the truth...why would one want to know about Islam?....I'm serious.....the world sees the actions of your people...and yes you will say we don't act like the few terrorists...they are not true Islam..we are a religion of love and peace...but that is not what you show the world....the actions of your people are evil.....but yes they are...and you want to know why I say that...because I have seen over and over the Muslim peoples burning American flags...carrying posters down with America and death to the infidels and such and not just America but other countries who stand against your attacks.... I am yet to see one protester against the atrocities of the terroristic behaviors of the Islamic peoples....where are the protestors against an evil regime?.....not one has stood publicly that I have seen and rebuked their fellow believers and said that what they were doing is wrong...but yet you ask us to believe that you are a peaceful religion and to accept you and forget about the other hateful part of your religion....I will not and can not separate the two...until you as a people come together and stand against the wrong that the terroristic few you have, are doing and I will continue to see you as a hateful , evil religion that longs to wipe out all in the earth that do not think like you or act like you or worship like you........when will you stand up against these evil doers and join the good fight in this world to rid the world of such evil?.....I have seen post many times comparing christianity to hitler...but you fail to see the same evil that was in hitler is in the islamic terrositic attitude.....you want the world to see you in the right light?...then rise up and fight those in your land that are wrong and evil and let the world see you for something other than a hateful evil religion......when you do then I will take a look at what you talk about and never will I do that until then.....

Because most people want to be seen as right not wrong. It is a fear mechanism. Also, we as a society have become ignorant to this because the US has been rather futunate that little attacks have been directed towards them. If that were not the case, I believe a more proactive stance would of been taken. Comparing to how long this has been going on, It is rather sad that most people act this way to since civilization essentially developed from this region in which we call the cradles of civilization. The more we can understand about the history, the more it tends to make sense why a group of individuals would partake in such acts to prove a point. I couldn't see my self doing the same thing, but rather I can understand that this region is becoming less and less homogenious as a society and is gathering more exterior belief systems.

I'm not to judge this, but rather, most people feel more secure in their own cultural and social identity rather than adopt another like the US. To say that Christian groups didn't have any influence is quite presomptious. I'm not supporting the retaliations that any group has done, but rather If we acknowledge the Crusades and attacks by the Knights Templar put a sour taste in thier mouth would influence a rather hateful disposition towards another culture.

The reason people don't want to get to know the islamic religion is because of the history and bloodshed it has cause. I know no religion is perfect. And no religion is close to what God wants because in every religion there's some history. You talk about how the islamic religion its criticize but think of the stuff it has happened because of the islamic religion not only that the beliefs of it too. I know that God(Allah) doens't want people killed over it. Becasue correct me if i'm wrong doens't the islamic religion says if you die for your country you go to heaven. Well in most religions if you kill you go to hell. That's why people don't want to get to know the islamic religion because of the history. But let me tell you this the islamic religion has change people lives in a positive way i know a few islamic friends and they're really good people. People intend to look at the bad history of it in that's the way it is. Sorry!

I don't dislike Muslim people, and respect their right worship as conscience dictates. I only ask that they give me the same right. And since you are offering, I have a question about Islam. Did you know that before Mohammed, there was more than one god worshiped by Muslims? The Muslim people were not an organized religion, they were not in one accord. Then Mohammed looked at Christianity and saw that it was a powerful force for change and all Christians were unified under one God, and he wanted the same thing for Islam, so he started preaching about Allah. Did you know Allah, as a diety, was inspired by the spread of Christianity?

The Islamic adherents already displayed their zealotry by their terrorism and head-chopping skills. I've looked a little into Islam during my Religious Studies courses, but I missed the fact Islam seeks to sweep mankind up in its oppressive dogma. Mohammad does not teach love at all. Just constant black and white orders.

So yes, I took the time out to know something about it, and what I learned I want no part of.

They get a pretty good understanding when they hear what the president of Iran has to say.. Also what the schools are teaching.. even in Saudi Arabia. Is pure hate for the infidel. If you can deny this is taking place, then you will not be a good source of information for Islam.

Unfortunately I suspect that people criticize Islamists and the Islamic religion because they don't understand it and it seems strange or odd to them. Also, Christianity and many (not all) Christians believe it to be heresy to practice non-Christian religions. I was somewhat hopeful a few years back with the World Council on Religions were working towards tolerance and understanding of the many different world religions. Still, the sticking point seems to be that each of them believe their form of religion is the only true faith. If that is your core belief it's difficult to get around that.

Also, many people have equated Muslims and Islam with Osama Bin Laden and the terrorists who bombed the World Trade Center and other atrocities. When people are afraid their brains seem to shut down. This is also unfortunate but appears to be part of the fight or flight reflex.

If your religion is so wonderful and loving why don't you and all your kind go back to where you came from and spread your love there. For centuries all you have known is kill. You have no value or respect for life. You give it up with the flick of a switch to blow yourself and many innocent bystanders. Get the hell off of here with your stupid statements.
