She's still there and I let her out at least once a day.....it keeps me young and happy.

Notice how those that lost the kid in them, cannot understand your question. Your question is brilliant because only someone who still has the kid that they once were in them, can understand it. Since I understand you perfectly well, I'll answer: The kid I was won't go away. I would like to mature but I just can't seem to do it. Gotta go play hide and seek with my imaginary friends, bye.
A Story by Jonathan Winters, from Winters Tales, Vintage Books (1987)

What do you want to be when you grow up, Johnny? I want to be a pilot, a fighter pilot, and I want to be the leader of my squadron. The enemy will hide behind the clouds when they see me!

I want to be a doctor and help kids get well, old people walk, deliver babies and make a young husband and wife smile.

I want to grow up to be a daddy, play with my children, be there to tuck them in at night and tell them a story.

I want to be a great artist when I grow up, so the president of the United States will commission me to paint him, with all the important people coming to the unveiling.

I want to receive the Medal of Honor for bravery. For leading a charge, saving my men, for keeping our flag waving above us and for turning back thousands of the enemy against incredible odds.

I want to grow up to be a movie star, with women of all ages throwing themselves at my feet. Everywhere I go, girls will scream and yell. I'll only have to do two big pictures a year and be paid so much money that the rest of the year I can play; I'll have a classy sports car and a huge home.

I want to be president of the United States. I will be all things to all people. I won't lie and I'll be honest with everybody.

I want to be a great comedian and make people laugh. It feels so good to laugh. How many people say, "You know, I don't know when I laughed as much as I did last night.". I want to be funny, really funny.

Here I am, an old man. You know something? All the things I mentioned-I'm still unsure about the answers to the questions. You know why? It's simple: I forgot to grow up!

Why did I forget to grow up?

Kept it close to my heart
for it is within that child that we are most pleasing to our Father in Heaven
For it is a time that children are innocent and not full of the unspeakable crimes that have come upon us in these critical times in which we are living now.

So when you are talking to the Heavenly Father
Do reflect on yourself
and say Beloved God
Remember me in a time when I was without sin
for it is in that time I was most pleasing to You
So here am now as an adult my Beloved Father
wanting to talk to you,
but now in my understanding I am not as pure as I was
when I was a child

So because of this. I ask that You allow me to approach in a child like state of myself

so I can draw close to You
to be near You for I need rest for I have become weary
