As a mexican I should taste every kind of taco available.
Tongue tacos are good for me, sometimes "heavy" for the stomach but are great with green or red salsa, some cilantro and some onion.
The best way to recognize the taste is without the tortilla, just a little salt and salsa and it is great too.

Tongue tacos,if it taste like tongue then it is tongue.
tongue aka lengua, is actually a cows tongue broiled till cooked with spices. usually wrapped in either a corn or flour tortilla, makes for good eatin esp. w/ salsa

Yes, tongue meat is very tender. And no, it doesn't have anything to do with barbacoa, because barbacoa is lamb and the tongue on the tacos is either cow or pork.

Yes I have but I only like them when I make them because I know how they were cooked. They are best eaten with cilantro, onion and lemon juice. I've gotten a lot of friends to try them and they enjoyed it. Once they got over the whole tongue thing. Hope you try them they are quite good.

l have licked out my girlfriends taco. Some times it has cheese on top some times sauce lol.

Hi,, i have some good friends in Kingsville , TX... they fixed some tongue burritos,, and darn they were good....... they did'nt tell me what it was until after we ate..... lol

is that like barbacoa? if it is then hell yeah i love it!!! barbacoa is cow cheek, brain, and tounge. mmm!!! so0o0o0 good!!!
